  1. I will be fishing a tournament on Lake Chatuge in three weeks and I was wondering if anybody can tell me what the lake is like? Is it a shallow lake, deep lake, a lot of blow down and structure, things like that. I have been looking online and I can't seem to find a whole lot about it so please help me out guys. Thanks!
  2. Theres not many places to fish in valdosta so the places you have found are probably the only places to fish. I know that Valdosta state has a fishing team because I am on the georgia southern bass team and i know we fish against them in multiple tournaments. My advice would be to look into that. You dont need to have a boat and its really good if your trying to fish throughout the southeast. Hope this helps.
  3. Thanks. I've had a couple people tell me about the docks so I am definetly going to give them a try.
  4. Yes that s all mostly true. I am on the Georgia southern bass team. All the FLW tournaments are paid for but u still have qualifyers and other tournaments that come out of pocket depending on how much funding you get from the school and your sponsors. In the FLW tournaments you can also win money that you keep since its a club sport and not an NCAA sport.
  5. Also, contrast isnt the only thing to focus on. Try a rattle trap. Although the bass can't see they can still hear and feel the vibrations that a rattletrap would make do Ty somethin that'll make some noise.
  6. I am looking for a good spinning reel and maybe rod. I am an avid fisherman and can't decide Wat to get. I am planning on using it for soft plastics such as flukes sinkos and other things lime that. Any ideas?
  7. Its all about presentation. When fishing with a frog a bass will look at it and kill it cause it looks good and edible but when fishing with rats I there is a lot more action which rest gets the bass's attention. I like to swim my rats fast and I have great success. I have found the more noise the rat makes the bigger and better hits you'll get. Both produce good fish but if you fish it right and find a food pattern then the rat can be a definite winner.
  8. Hey guys. I am on the Georgia Southern Bass fishing team and we have our next tournament October 1st on lake Sinclair. In the first 10 minutes of our run last tournament I spun the hub on my motor and zero'd that tournament so I really need to catch up. I havent fished Sinclair and I'm having troubles finding spots to fish. It be great if yall could give me some tips on good spots yall have fished and what you used. Thanks guys I really preciate it.
  9. I will be fishing at Lake Sinclair early October for a college tournament and ive never fished here before. Any suggestions?
