  1. Anyone know of any good ponds around Northeastern and central Illinois?
  2. How long does it take for a fishing show to be filmed? An entire weekend? A week?
  3. How hard is it to catch bass in November?
  4. Well since you are probably more than likely going for big bass, check out these guys........ www.lews.com They have a good special right now on their spinning combo through Cabelas.
  5. There is an eddie that is right by the boat launch. Its a 2 minute walk for me to get there. My uncle Steve always told me thats the place to focus and his words were exactly what you just replied with. Thank you for the info. Also , should I focus on that spot the most?
  6. Best way to fish a jungle jig? Since it is supposed to mimic a crawfish, just drag it across the bottom correct? http://www.northland...?cat=137&pc=241
  7. Scenario, Have to fish from shore or you can choose to wade in the river since its shallow enough. You do not have a boat. River is about 2-4 feet in most areas. In the middle of the river where you are fishing you have 3 sand bars that are surrounded by tall grass on the edges of them. You have a small dam that drops off about a foot and goes over rocks of course. This river has a very sandy bottom and lots of rocks. What would you use for bait?
  8. I love it. I actually don't have a problem with having it stay on top of the water, its just the initial timing when it hits the water that I am working on becoming better at. If you are not paying attention with the open face, you can easily screw up on the timing. But if I focus I usually don't have a problem with it. Its just when you get distracted. For example if someone is talking while you are casting. I would think that a baitcaster would make fishing with buzzbaits easier? Am I correct?
  9. I'm using a Medium heavy Lews Speed stick Rod with a Lews Reel. Currently I have 8 pound bionic Walleye line on it. Here is a link to the reel I am using. Its the one on the top and the model is a TSS3000........ http://www.lews.com/spinning-reels.htm
  10. I picked up a booyah in white last week. Been using it but not much luck. Key is that you must start reeling them in right at the very second it hits the water. If you let it sink, you need to bring your line in and start over. I am gonna put my buzzbait away though till I get a nice baitcaster. Casting with an open face will cause you to lose a lot of fish in my opinion.
  11. Thank you very much for the info. Can you please post a link to the nasa outlet I can use for this?
  12. Yeah I've been doing some of that also. Took the last few days off from Fishing since its dead. Gonna head somewhere new this weekend and give that a go.
  13. The river I fish (Kankakee in Illinois) is so shallow right now. On average its 2-3 feet deep in most spots. Its very frustrating because its hard to find any deep holes. Anyone have any advice on what I should do? Maybe just go fish another place for the time being?
  14. So how do you fish a jitterbug? Do you just use little jerks and making it move a few inches every 20-30 seconds? Thanks for the help
  15. So I went out two mornings ago. Red and white Jitterbug was working great and got some really good hits. Then I got out the next morning , and nothing went after it. Then I went out last night and again, nothing was hitting it! Last evening I fished a nice lake in NW Indiana that is known for bass. This was confusing the heck out of myself that the jitterbug was not getting any strikes. What should I have switched over to ? I am a beginner so I am doing my best to learn these things. Anyone have any advice?
