  1. If your talking about the ramp north of moore heaven on st rd 78, there is no issues with depth.. I launched from there last week and took the channel into the backside of the monkey box and out to the main lake.
  2. Nice job! What ramp did u put in at?
  3. The lake is just fine. Although the winds and waves can be a factor at times. Moore Haven, Clewiston or belle glade would be the area you want to check out.
  4. Whats that thing got, a magnet in it???
  5. Yes you need an orange flag to enter the flats/marsh areas. I believe it has to be 12x12 and on a 10 ft pole. As far as where they are? Any place you see a trail, will pretty much lead you there. Make sure you have a GPS or I would not advise to venture to far in and around. You can definitely get confused/disoriented in there. IT ALL LOOKS THE SAME. Good luck
  6. Thats what im talking bout! NIce Job Captain!!!
  7. Nice report. Any pics??
  8. Nice report!
  9. Cool videos! Way to go on that hog!!!
  10. Wow! 28-30 lb. sacks are just ridiculous! Its crazy to think 20lbs didn't even come close to winning. Lake O' Rocks!
  11. Nice Job!!!!
  12. Sounds like fun for a good cause. How was the topwater bite?
  13. I started fishing tournaments this past year. Both local and nationally. The experience was awesome. I Can't wait til next years trails. There are some many out there I'm sure you can find something to fit your schedule. What state do you live in?
  14. Ya, I think it will easily be 13ft by next week and when it's all said and done it will be 14.5ft. I just hope they don't pump any out.
  15. If your asking about hotels, No there is nothing like that.
  16. I've fished as a non-boater in the southern division last year as well as be a marshal for the elites. Both experiences were awesome and i plan on doing it again next year.
  17. What he said!
  18. In general yes it's pretty common. There a a ton of reasons why as well. How big or small of a "Spot" are you talking about? A rock pile, A 50 ft long ledge, 100 yard shoreline or a local pond? Also are you fishing from shore or on a boat? `
  19. Thanks everyone for the replies, glad everyone liked the thread. I will be sure to post more in the future. Ya the bottom structure down there is a little different with the shopping carts, tires etc. lol. I've tried the area by the mall before, but didn't have much luck. I will have to check it out next time. It's kind of cool to think miami is the only place in the world to catch all four species of game fish from the same body of water (as far as I know). I was trying to think of a name for it, like a "Quadfecta" or a "True grand-slam" since you really score four runs. What do you think, any suggestions?
  20. I went down to Miami (blue lagoon area) yesterday morning to target some peacocks. Its been a while since I've been down there. Since I have not seen a peacock in Broward or Palm beach in over a year,I figured down south was my best bet. Needless to say I was determined to find and hook up with some lol. I was on the water by sun up and was graced with a peacock on the first cast of the day. It fell victim to a medium size zara spook. The strike was pretty soft, not the normal blow ups that come with peacock fishing. After numerous missed strikes, I switched up to a prop bait. I was hoping that would be the ticket, since that is more of a stop a go style lure. well they didn't want anything to do with that, since I could not even get a strike. I switched up yet again to a rapala shad-rap and that did the trick. I was able to hook up with a couple more, one being smaller then my lure. Others fell victim to a rapala x-rap, Including a baby snook and tarpon. I have never caught a freshwater tarpon and only caught a handful of freshwater snook, so it was a nice surprise. It also made for a nice little fight catching them on 8lb test. I did catch a couple of large mouths in the mix but nothing picture worthy. By mid afternoon i had enough with the sun. I left them biting and headed back to the ramp. I cant wait to go back!! tightlines go get um!!!!
  21. I fished out off of 27 north of 75 this a.m. I usually go to the second boat ramp on the west side but there redoing the dock (about time). So i drove a little north to the 4th ramp. There was plenty of water. Once i had the boat in the water i headed north to the end (broward palm beach county line). Nothing was biting in that area, not even a blip on the fish finder, so i trolled back south. Made my way done one of the fingers canals and managed to catch one all they way at the end. He hit a horny toad and weighed just under 3.5. Headed back south some on the main canal and started fishing again. Caught another on a slug-go, along the shore line. He was small but a keeper. Managed one more on a raplala crank bait. Other then that i didn't even get a bite. My fished finder was showing a fish here or there but basically nothing was showing up. None the less it was fun, was off the water by 12:30. Oh ya i was also using a devils horse, zara spook, fluke, flipping, rattle trap.
  22. You did the right thing! There is no room for even a joke about cheating during a tournament period!
