  1. Oh and LOTS of bald eagles flying around.
  2. I agree, the Harris chain of lakes is a GREAT fishery.
  3. It always amazes me to see cold fronts roll in. I've been out on the water and watched as the leading edge goes by and the temps drop. It's a really cool sight (no pun intended lol). This a.m was no different I just watched part of the leading edge roll in. Trees started blowing, clouds rolled in and now its nice and cool out! I feel bad for the people fishing round 1 of the southern opens on Toho. I bet it's windy and cold out there.I'm sure it changed the bit compared to earlier in the week to.
  4. My understanding is not the day of but a few days leading up to and a few after the full moon is when to go fishing. Saturday night was the Full moon. In the same aspect a full moon during spawning season brings the BIG mommas from the depths into shallow water.
  5. Probably a Blue Tilapia. There everywhere down here.
  6. I think the Full moon could of played a role in no bites.
  7. That water system is AWESOME!. It's the only place in WORLD you can catch LM bass, Peacock Bass, Snook & Tarpon with the same lure in one day!
  8. Congratulations on your purchase!!!
  9. I lost mine too lmao. Tracker needs to glue them in.
  10. Golf course bass fishing Rocks!!
  11. SLOW DOWN! What ever technique your doing. Fish smaller baits, shakey head.
  12. X3 Any where else Dusk & Dawn as well as cloudy days
  13. Man, I need to give Copperfield a try more. Odd no one else said white yet either.
  14. Final day weigh is at Bass Pro and it consists of the top 12 plus 12 co-anglers. ALL anglers and co-anglers weigh in Thurs & Fri.
  15. I know a lot of members around here use Gambler products. I was wondering whats everyone's take on color of choice & type when it comes to using gambler? I personally like EZ swimmers & Big EZ in white or gold. I use bowins silver for ugly otters. I use flappin shads in black or white. Anyone else want to chime in?
  16. Good Deal!!! CONGRATS!!!!
  17. Hey sunk boat, I fished that tourney by myself Sunday. There was like 15 teams. Just shy of 15 lbs. took 1st & 2nd. Big bass I think was like a 7 lber. I didn't even bother to weigh-in. 1 fish 2lbs. There was a tourney there the day before and 24lbs won it. There was dirty water everywhere. When I would find clean water I couldn't get any bites. Hey Bocabasser, I saw your KOTG partner at the ramp. Those power poles on the back of his boat are huge! lol. Those Lake and bay boats are great combos!
  18. Whats the cost? That's a team tourney, right?
  19. Aww man that sux! That guy knew a lot about S. Fl Bass fishing. When I would go to bass pro and his truck/boat was out front I would get excited. I would be sure to go say hi to him. He will surely be missed. R.I.P Billy Bob. :sad10:
  20. corn attracts them to the area and biscuit dough on a hook catches them.
  21. Fish the finger canals north of alligator alley (i75). That is a prime spawning area this time of year. Look for ones that have a harder but compared to a muck bottom. There are boat ramps over there to, so you don't have to take a long trip from holiday park. There is like 3 different boat ramps west of 27 for you to choose. Most trails that lead into the flats are marked with signs. There small but you will notice them. Like TWR said, make sure you have a orange flag min. 10ft high when going into the flats. You will get a ticket by FWC if they see you in there without one. Also I would not venture in without a GPS. You will get lost, it's very easy to. The mouth of those trails are good fishing to.
