  1. Nice! Any woman willing to give fishing a shot and listen to instructions and catches a fish, passes the "cool" test with me! Ya got a keep-her!!!
  2. The Python invasion phenomenon is so over rated, it isn't even funny. I personally never seen or know of anyone who has seen a giant python out there. In fact, just recently hunters went looking for some during some of the cold days and did not find one. They come out of hiding to seek warmth from the sun. They did a round up of them a couple a years and some people never caught or seen one..
  3. I personally fish a fluke weightless and erratic!!!! There should be a thread 101 ways to fish a Fluke, as there is about that many ways to!!
  4. To bad I don't live closer to ya, I would fish with ya! In case your not familiar, there are lots of fishing clubs in your area that you can join. Most have non-boaters as well as boaters. When there is a tourney, the boaters draws a non-boater to fish with or vice versus, not necessarily as a team. Check it out, if you can't find anyone to fish with here. Also a tourney like that, it's harder for someone to cheat and get away with. That way you feel the playing field is more level and your money throwing away your money...
  5. Nice Urban Bass, Lou!!! I was down there in Cutler Bay Peacock fishing on Sunday. To my surprise, I caught more largemouth then Peacocks.. A white glass shad rap was the bait of choice, no livebait..
  6. No Pics?? No Proof!!!! J/K Congrats!!!
  7. Compare it to listings on Ebay of the same motor if your can.
  8. Nice report Geo!! I went out there this a.m, put in at mm 40.7. Starting at the furthest bridge west, then fished west on both sides of the alley, towards the no trespassing buoys. Caught 1 flipping, 1 on a 10 inch worm weightless, couple on a devils horse and a boat load on a suspending jerkbait. majority were 1's and 2's. Winds were east 10-15 but it wasn't hot. Fished from sun up til bout 2:30. caught about the same as you. Funny I brought a friend and he only caught a couple, literally. I gave him the exact same jerkbait I was throwing but he couldn't get the technique down to get them fired up, lmao..
  9. Lake management like your doing sounds cool! Mad Props on the catch!!!!
  10. The deeper the water, the more I use a drop-shot. 20ft plus up to like 45ft.
  11. Cool Pics! Thanks for sharing..
  12. Nice Fish!!!
  13. Topwater prop bait or a suspending jerkbait.
  14. Nice the peacocks of that size are populating C-14 again..
  15. Nice Catch!!!
  16. I've seen Lake and Bay style center consoles in some Bassmaster Open and Flw events. It's not common but you do see a couple. All the pros who fish the elites/ FLW majors, all run normal style Bass boats..
  17. Nice pics! Thanks for sharing the report.. You live in Naples or more North? Ya Geo, that's the area. Never fished it but I use to ride my quad in that general area. You have to cross the alley and get off at the 1st Naples exit..
  18. Nice Catches! Where was the 7.lber caught
  19. Nice!!! Sounds like you found a nice school. Any come up to the boat with the ones hooked?
  20. Bassmasters Elites have to qualify for the tour through the opens, bass nations, college events etc. FLW majors you can pay your way in and Major League i believe is invitational. FLW guys are under a contract through FLW with their main sponsor, I believe. I know, Elites have to go market themselves and get their own sponsors and as many as the want. In fact some guys have to decline the Elites because they don't have the $money or sponsorship to fish it.. Elites pay 5k per event, times 10 events. Recently guys from FLW switched tours to the Elites (via qualifying) and I've heard them say in interviews "how their happy to be able to get whatever sponsors the want" instead of being limited through FLW. Some pro's fish both tours Elites/FLW also. Not sure what you mean by ranked but it's a points system that determines Angler Of The Year award at the end of the season. Hope this helps..
  21. x2 about Bobby. I'm impressed with the diversity of Chris's wins to, especially for growing up in Florida. Every lake looks the same here. He's also won a couple of Southern Opens events as well. The last one to cash a 500k check for a classic win to.
  22. Nice report, thanks for sharing..
