  1. Can you send me a PM for @everythingthstswims’ YT channel please? He was one of my favorites for on here years ago.
  2. I did the same thing and made it from July of 2015 to October 2021. Some were through the ice but November and February were the toughest for me here in Nebraska.
  3. I certainly don’t have the knowledge of WRB but this topic comes up every spring on my Nebraska fishing forums regarding the walleye spawn. Our state biologist claims that the walleyes spawn at the same time every year; regardless of water temp of ice cover still on the lake, and said that photoperiod is the main factor driving the walleye spawn.
  4. Busch Light is standard fare in my Lund.
  5. Taking a very spur of the moment trip next week to the Ozarks and staying in Linn Creek, on the water, which is near the Camdenton area. We’ll have a boat but I’ve never fished the area or have any clue about the lake if anyone has any tips on where to start or structure, depth or areas to look for? thanks for any help you can provide.
  6. Hey A-Jay, This seems really helpful and something I’ve been looking for; do you see any reason these wouldn’t work for running shoes? I log 20-30 miles a week running and it takes a toll on my feet and I’ve been looking for something to try and help with the pain.
  7. My dad surprised me with a trip to Alaska! Literally, we’re leaving Tuesday morning. I know nothing about what we’re doing and I don’t know if he does either. We’re going with his friends and have 4 days of guide trips for halibut and I think salmon and are on our own for the other 2 days. We’re staying near Soldotna and are fishing out of Homer for halibut and then in the Kenai for salmon. Again don’t know much about the area or what we’re doing so any help or experience would be appreciated.
  8. My PB bass (8 lbs 1 oz) came from a decent sized pond but a smaller body of water than any of the public lakes around me. This particular pond is much like you describe where I could catch 30ish bass each time but rarely one over 1.5 lbs. The pond had huge panfish though. Nearly every crappie was a 13” clone and bluegills all 9”. I’ve found the smaller bodies of water to have large amounts of small bass and smaller quantities of large panfish or small amounts of larger bass with larger amounts of small panfish; rarely have I found larger panfish and larger bass in the same pond. Just my observation.
  9. We did well in the Platte creek area last week; minnows and crawlers but I would guess they were moving more towards crawlers. We we’re only walleye fishing.
  10. No on bass but crappie and walleye get kept 99% of the time.
  11. I’m 36, 5’9” and weighed 239 2 Julys ago. I lost a total of 64 lbs and am down to 175 now. I’m now trying to get more lean but would call it more vanity lbs / muscle tone that I’m looking for. I started trying to run a mile a day, everyday, and progressed from there; I ran 31 miles last week. What worked for me: Quit drinking beers during the week. Meal prep - I mostly eat grilled chicken, eggs/egg whites and veggies Track your calories Don’t do cheat days or take days off working out Weigh yourself every day. I got addicted to seeing the scale go down every morning. When I had a less disciplined weekend and would see the scale Monday morning, it made those weekend choices easier to make going forward. Good luck.
  12. Congrats! Thought you were a Garmin guy though?
  13. Great fish. You might want to get a new scale tho; that thing looks a lot closer to 10 lbs than it does 6.
  14. In Nebraska, most waters are only 1 black bass over 21”, which is basically complete catch and release. There are some waters where you can keep 5 over 15”, I think. I don’t keep bass usually and don’t fish those waters either.
  15. Pike, walleye, crappie, then bluegill is my hierarchy
