  1. They better do something this year though, blowing a 2-0 lead in the NLDS and losing the last three at home was enormously disappointing, and easily the most embarrasing thing I've ever seen from the Reds. Baker is lucky to have a job after that debacle.
  2. Cozart is definately going to start at short, he played well in his first full season last year. He's a decent hitter, fine defender, and still a fairly young player who I'm sure the Reds expect to improve next year. The Reds organization seems to be firmly of the opinion that Hamilton is still a raw player. Even with an excellent Spring, no way IMO will Hamilton push Cozart, and I think the Reds want to develop Hamilton as a CF anyway. I'd be very surprised to see him up from the minors for any real length of time this year. Of course, injury can always play a factor.
  3. As a Reds fan, I would say I don't expect to see much from Hamilton this year in the majors. Don't forget, he didn't even see time in Triple A last year. The Reds are good at CF/SS as well, his two positions.
  4. I love my gen2 SX, and would respectfully disagree that it isn't a great reel for distance casting, I can cast mine as far as any reel I own in fact. For flippin and pitching, it's a great choice too.
  5. I like as much variety as possible myself, never understood the brand loyal crowd.
  6. So, in celebration....free Senkos to all BR members then?
  7. Welcome aboard!
  8. That's too bad. I wonder what the sale that they're working on is?
  9. About 50/50 for me, but on my spinning setups I'll go with a less expensive reel, I feel like I can get away with a good spinning reel for about half of what I'll pay for a casting reel.
  10. That's actually a 70-72 Vette, you can tell by the gills.
  11. I love my Lews TP and Recon2 combo, but all the stuff you've listed is similar in quality. The action of the rods would be the biggest factor for me, like the bassman, I like a little slower action so the Recon 2 is a great fit. I'm not crazy about the very fast action of the St Croixs I've fished.
  12. I still like Jitterbugs, and Hula poppers.
  13. Easy to mock the C4 now, but it was revolutionary in it's day. You have to give it points for at least utilizing a new chassis, from 53-82 the Corvette rode on essentially the same chassis. The C4 also acheived great racing success, and the ZR1 is a legend.
  14. I heard that, I'd love a C4 ZR1, they're selling low now too. That can't last forever on a Corvette that was so significant. They looked just awesome under the hood too: That's from my desktop BTW. They'll never drop a better looking engine in a Vette, these newer engines are flat out hideous.
  15. Totally agree. I don't mean to harp on it, but it's like they put absolutely no thought into it what so ever, I couldn't believe it when I first saw it. They could have at least matched the tail lights and exhaust tips, i.e. round and round, or rectangular, and rectangular. That's even apparent to a know nothing like me.
  16. I love Corvettes, pretty much all of them, and I really hope to buy a C5 ZO6 this year....but the new C7 was a real disappointment for me from a styling standpoint. The Camaro rear end is just horrible, I have no earthly idea what they were thinking. Love the 7 speed, love the base 450 hp LT1, love the return of the "Stingray" moniker, the rest of the car is well done but I can't get past the rear end.
  17. About a dozen new Xcalibur Jimmys at around $6 a piece recently was a good buy for me....closest walking bait I've seen to a LC Sammy.
  18. I'd be all over them at that price! I've been impressed so far with mine....I like it about as well as my Lews TPs actually.
  19. Wow, I can't imagine trying to throw an 1/8 oz lure on a casting reel.
  20. I've been impressed with all the Xcalibur lures I've used, they make good quality stuff.
  21. Welcome!
  22. I grabbed 5 Falcon Caras when TW had them on sale at $100 a piece... that worked out pretty well.
  23. I don't find gear ratio to be a huge deal for them, anything in the 6 or faster range should work fine.
  24. Yep.... 6lb 14oz I think?
