  4. Hop, Hop, Hop, pause, repeat. is the most common style for my area, but they can be dragged on the bottom or swam, it all depends on what the fish want and where you're fishing. -Dingah

  14. yep, only a couple years left till the lead jigs get put aside here in NH, really sucks though because im 16 and dont have a job and i cant afford to pay 6 bucks for 3 weights when my truck guzzles gas at 12 mpg.
  15. ive Bent a couple out on fish, once they are straightened out, i bent them back but it seemed like it was twice as easy to do it again, so i dont really use strike king jigs anymore.
  16. i am also very curious about these baits, wanna try them so bad
  17. i was like 5 years old, 4 inch yum dinger(one of my favs) black with blue flake, caught a 13 inch bass, been fishing dingers ever since
  18. Just started this year, caught about 15 fish, all of those fish either thumped it hard and ran, or just barely whacked it, so my biggest struggle is determining a bite? i know when i have one when it hits hard or i feel weight at the end of my line but there are sometimes where im left clueless to if i had a bite or it was a rock or a log, and most of the time i cant tell at all. So what my question is is what does a bite feel like? -Tully

    Best Worm?

X2 one of the best when it comes to big worms, either that or the power worm - berkley -Tully
  20. i use it all the time, my pond is crystal clear and the fish can see you moving, but with the drop shot ive caught even the most finicky fish on it,and to answer your question, no being lower to the water does not affect anything IMO, but this is one of the best rigs that i throw and i mainly fish off the bank. Ive caught a good deal of 3 lbrs on this rig, its very productive and the bass cant seem to pass up such an easy meal shaking in front of their nose! good luck -Tully
  21. Keep forgeting to bring the stinking ruler with me! i may just have to tape it to my arm.....
  22. Ive also started using jigs this year, only caught about 15 fish but they all have been on a 1/2 oz jig with either a zoom super chunk trailer in blk and blue or a black and blue rage craw, ive found fishing it slow with a craw trailer has the best result for me. good luck -tully
  23. just got a shimano citica LH model, 6:5:1, 50 bucks brand new on sale at dicks sporting goods on clearance, 1/2 off then 1/2 off again...
  24. exactly, i fish in similar conditions, small deep pond, thick weeds in the middle, and you can see fish swimming around the edge, i use a dropshot whenever i can because the bass seem to just hammer the worm! i actually used one tonight and caught 2 in 2 casts! very productive bait in these conditions! Good Luck -Tully
