  1. friends of mine that fish club tournaments fish out of a 175 and they like it, so suits them well. with a 70 on the back it takes some time to make those "long runs" . I think it is a great first boat, one you can pay off in a few years and move up if you want. The tracker is going to ride WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than the G3, you way be assurred of that.
  2. ^ you too!
  3. I am have fished one other tourney before...........but I am fishing my first alone tomorrow, GOOD LUCK TO US !!
  4. fair enough
  5. the lew's tournament Pro , is $170.....so not apples to apples, though I bet the Lews TP is still better, for many people IMO. now if you compare the KVD and the Team Lews reel ($215) I am willing to bet the KVD reel loses. not calling you out at all, just want to know which lews you are comparing. I just got some tournamnet pros and have no idea why anyone would need a better reel than those......
  6. wayne with the lakes we fish..........how long would it take a stump to rip that thing off, LOL
  7. no, no.........I want everyone to have any huge fish they want. I am saying there is no reason in today's age. and for you to call me/us full of *** and the like is absurd IMO. with pictures, measurments, ect ect, replicas are easy to get done. and they last longer, look better, and most of all preserve the wildlife we are trying to catch. I have seen bodies of water go down hill fast.....nothing worse than watching someone drive off with a cooler full of 3 to 6 pound bass. I have heard Bob Lusk say that even taking out 3pound fish can change the entire food dynamic of a body of water. so what to you think taking out use 15# does. I am done, agree to disagree and walk away. each his own, and mine will differ from yours. No big deal.
  8. I guess that would explain my weight gain last summer!!! but really, I just keep those things in the boat, for snacks. Don't eat all of it, everytime out. It just good to have variety, LOL. fishing being the hobby it is, I find there is no sense in being a health freak while having fun. If you want to eat candy and fun snacks while fishing, By God you should be able to. OTOH, if you want to be a healthy food guy, by all means go for it.......I will smile and think of you while eating a moon pie!! HAHAHAHA.
  9. Moon pies (double deckers) liver cheese sammiches (must be bought a bait store) goldfish crackers david sunflower seeds peunut butter cookies vienna saug and crackers 12 pack diet coke that should get you through the day.
  10. that's what I am hoping!
  11. so only non FLA bass can be records? if so why does everyone stock them? i am confused....
  12. I have that exact reel on my cranking sticks, GREAT reel. The Tourn SS is most likely the biggest value out there right now.
  13. I paid for a membership a few days ago.... the general $50 one........still says pending so I cant log in yet.....GRRRRRRR.
  14. That's not a frown, it's a scowl. I don't like anyone keeping big bass..... ^^^ This. Anyone that keeps a huge class bass is pretty selfish to me. I know Capt. made the deer/fish relation and the only thing I can say is...I cant get a replica of a 200 class buck. I am not a pansy liberal at all, I just believe we NEED to protect the things we love and as fisherman that is suppose to be the fish!! By the same token I get peeved as well cause no cares about jumping carp until they hit the great lakes..... what's so special about the durn great lakes?..... is the great lakes anymore special fishing waters than all the fishing waters jumping carp DESTROYED down south? I personally think not. back on topic.... I am just starting on the fishing journey, I can only hope there is still water, and fish in that water when I learn how to really catch em. With all the lead bans, non oil mixing, barbless hook laws going on the last thing we need to do IMO is take away the very thing we are trting to catch. I maybe wrong....
  15. slone, lots of people people have told me that is was high......and it maybe, but it was worth it when they cut that check for the trailer. $250 deductable I need to REALLY read my policy to see what all is covered and how much.
  16. I only wait unitl I can see my frog, I dont wait to feel the fish. If you cant see your bait, it can only be in one place.....cause bass don't have hands.
  17. normal practice.........ask the salesman to break down the "3 prices", BPS deals enough to know what you need. I bought my boat from BPS (used avalanche for 15 K) prices were around..... boat 6k, motor 7500, trailer trailer 1500. I have progressive insurance, $40 bucks a month, when I totaled my trailer they cut me a check for 3K. (replacement value) only real advice I can give.....GET A MARINE POLICY!
  18. i have never caught a female then....
  19. insurance , mine is $40 per month storage, mine is $42 a month .....this is just to park it in "open lot" inside the gates and under a camera. I keep it covered.
  20. but thats not shipped price. If I overlooked it please link me cause I too googled it. Cheapest I found was 169 shipped from anywhere near a legit place. ( I have ordered from shady places before)
  21. ^^^ THIS, Brian had the lowest SHIPPED price of anywhere I look when I bought my 1198
  22. just searched for NoDak Outdoors and found nothing.....would love to find a place to buy tournament pros at a great price
  23. it was an alabama rig reference.......the Orginal mann's alabama rig.......if you use that phrase Manns has been known to sue you, lmao.
  24. I dont mind getting off ebay....as long as it is new, and I can still get the warrentee. i never can find them new for less that $160 +/- and with shipping it still $170. but you can find them on the boards for $105-$130 used.
