  1. I use the Rapala as well.....it is $50 but has some cool savable features and a good scale. it comes with both the grip or hook, so its your choice. I like the hook.
  2. you could even get a 410 pump, small, easier to handle if you think she might have issues. about $150. load it up with 4 shot, 4 shot, 4shot......then buckshot, buckshot. I know I am going to get roasted cause the 410 aint "powerful" yadda yadda.........but if it will knock a bird down at 30 yards it will knock a man down across the room. Good luck Mike, I hope it works out safely.
  3. I got a few old timers around here that use them and they catch PLENTY of fish.
  4. Might have to put Jeff on suicide watch..........the man sounds like his dog died, and his wife left him. Hopefully it will blow through and yall can start boarding planes!
  5. so you'll catch a new PB, Dwight will too,and we have to see pics of Jeff???????? LOL, yall have a good trip!
  6. are the memory cards formatted correctly ? and don't forget to have someone capable of turning it on handy, I know you've had issue with that in the past.....
  7. the force is growing quickly with you! hahahaha yeap the 734 I throw 1/2 the strike king heavy hook swim jig with a rage grub trailer....flings it miles!
  8. yes, that's what they are called, thanks!
  9. that's my swim jig rod of choice.
  10. another option is stainless forceps, surgery pliers or whatever they are called......you can probably pick them up at any medical supply store.
  11. "fishermen's pliers" = needle nose pliers.........go to your local part house and buy a quality pair for under $20
  12. yeah but, what about the way you cast?
  13. work hard take care of your wife be the best daddy you can to your child pay your bills be loyal to your personal cause then fish when and where you can, if you can.
  14. I don't know where to begin, and would hate to know what others would say......
  15. depends on the trailer, but it should because I have always said the 733 is THE 3/8 spinnerbait rod. I will say on a 734 is what I do my swim jiggin with, 1/2oz with rage grub trailer.
  16. actually it would be(with me at least): "son, you can't carry a gun until your 21, after that if you own it you need to carry it, everyday."
  17. I am not a jerkbait guy, but I enjoy reading about them. EVERYONE, and I mean everyone, especially those that are known for jerkbaits all rave about the Lucky Crafts and Megabass jerkbaits. If I was to consider using the technique, those 2 would be the only baits I would even consider throwing. I own nothing from either company at the present.
  18. on average, current fish are less effected by fronts IMO... that said who knows, fish cant talk, sadly. BUT this time of year, many times a front will "turn on" the fish as it signals the approaching fall/winter and triggers the "feed up"
  19. if that was on MY graph the first thing I would do is clean the screen...... then I would drop a dropshot over the side.
  20. booyas are hard to beat on the cheap. before you know it you'll be buying terminators like the rest of us, don't worry.
  21. then Tatsu is 100% your line. I love the stuff....I have ran it on every combo I own this year. IMO, it has the right amount of everything.
  22. OH, I am not trying to argue, believe me. I think for the drifting of live minnows on the river Yozuri is best cause it is cheap. and since there are many hang ups, cheap/good line is the best! Granted I think Tatsu is tops 24/7/365 in any conditions or situation, but with all the hang ups associated with river drift fishing Tatsu could get expensive. Correct?
  23. Kent I am going to have to table this(though I think we agree more than disagree)..........I guess I am not making my point clear through type. Maybe one day we will hook up and discuss further over say.....a 50-75 fish day on the river
  24. Dwight's "turn on the go pro skills" as good as mine eh?
  25. don't forget the Timmic for the pesky neighborhood cats! lmao
