  1. makes ya want to home school and be done with it for sure. I have read my girlfriend's childrens social studies book and I dont like the vocabulary used...... I have told him(he is 9) learn it to make a good grade on your test BUT, when you have an actual question, ask me or your mom and we'll tell you what it really means.
  2. out of fear of this topic being severely moderated or locked...... I would change "last white guy in detroit" to something else.
  3. since the quote was equal to or less power.... I will explain. many of the electric steers (terrova, whatever MG calls their's) are newer and having the new technogly in them.... digital maximazers and all that, there is a possibilty that they use less power, or use it in such a way that a charged battery last longer on the water. I dont know for sure, which is why I used the vocabulary I did.
  4. I can agree somewhat....... but I think where the line is when there is good chance someone will pull a drive by on said school, just ban it all. School attire should be non logo, non descript for everyone attending the school, American, mexican, or otherwise. If you kneew there was a chance for violence would you send your child to school in the shirt? I wouldnt, but I would also look for another school, but many dont have that chance. you may agree or disagree and thats ok, it is what makes the world go around.
  5. Glenn, do you remember if they also banned Mexican Flag attire as well? I am asking, since I dont remember. the rest of this post is not directed at you Glenn: I am all for keeping the kids safe and having strict dress codes. they shouldn't be wearing any political attire, gang related attire, drug, beer, rap or any music ect ect. BUT if you ban one thing in the Flag example, you have to ban it all. Rules are great as along as they are fair, balanced, and enforced. IMO, kids are sent to school to LEARN, not be billboards for anything or anyone.
  6. I know thats right!!! I have not watched it or read anything on the "story" on purpose until last night...... after 5 minutes, I wished I would have continued not to know anything about the story. In news, papers, all trying to out best the last story. it is quite maddening to say the least.
  7. whether it is a gimmick or not I dont know....... but the sure set hook was what drew me to Rapala in the first place.
  8. rod is not the issue. it is almost standard practice to throw deep divers and larger spinnerbaits on the same rod. many people throw 3/8oz spinnerbaits on med/mod action rods. reason for this is you want the fish to suck it in, a faster rod will pull the bait away from the fish, also the slower action keeps the fish pinned and not as likely to throw the bait.
  9. I run a golf course and fish mine regularly: 1. make sure you have permission 2. fish anything you want, golf course fish in general do not see lures so it is a blank canvas. Throw anything you want 3. don't leave trash, line, bait/tackle on the ground....... leave it cleaner than you found it follow these 3 simple rules and post pics of hawgs!
  10. he speaks the truth.
  11. 1. consume equal or less amount of battery compared to cable steer 2. no, when spotlocked the prop is only generally doing 1 or 2 if anything....... even in a high wind or current I have only seen mine do 4 3. a full day and then some based on my experiecne..... I fish a TM only lake run on high for 30 minutes.....fish all day on spot lock or cruise control 2 or 3.... 30 minutes on high back to the ramp and I got plenty left. That is 36v though, but I cant see how a 24v would give you any issue.
  12. thats a good ole grinnel right there son! white spinnerbaits kill em down here....... I caught a 11 pounder one time when I first started fishing. Man what a fighter. when you catch a big one like that, always weight it, and check your state record! Arkansas' is 16-17 pounds.
  13. dont pay $8 for 4oz of KVDLL when you can get a gallon for $65 at TW. I love the stuff so I buy by the gallon, MUCH cheaper...... if you cant use that much you can get in with friends and split it. I just but a spray bottle at the dollar store and pour it in a quart at a time. A gallon lasts me about a year.
  14. I am still trying to get my head around dock flipping a fish that big...
  15. in fairness BPS does sell spike it, bang, fish sticks, and other scents. I am not directing this to to Smokinal............ half the fun is looking for yourself, walking down each isle to find all the other stuff you cant live/fish without..... just like casinos, if you can easily find the exit, you cant stay inside and play.
  16. I have a few pair of 6 in....... the standard polo short in 8 and they are too long IMO, but I am too lazy (and cheap) to drop them off at the tailors. in wearing shorts, your entire knee should be showing IMO. Vineyard Vines makes some great shorts, as does Bills kakis but the Bills needs to be heemed if I rememeber correctly. if wearing Polo they make a 6 in the pastel colors, which are my favorite...... pink, light blue, nantucket reds, yellow, ect.... I think it might be the polo golf line but not sure .......... all perfect to wear with PFG's or silmilar. JCrew makes some great shorts too. Shorts are kinda my thing as I own about 73 pair........ I will be glad when I back down to my "fighting weight" to wear them this summer. Work shorts I run to the Nautica outlet in Tunica to get me by..... they are longer but are cheap and do the job of looking good at work. by far the best brand of tshirts going is Southern Tide, good shorts too, but their shirts are AWESOME, best tshirt out there, great fit and the softest cotton made and GREAT colors, IMO
  17. men, its time to dress like men.........and men dont wear cargos. if the inseam is longer than 6 inches, you are wearing capris, not shorts.
  18. that's my question too...... I thought they did DNA testing ect with scales to certify
  19. article said GP with gold and purple flake
  20. he let the fish go which is awesome....... but do they not do DNA testing/ scale testing on spots to certify?
  21. hooked up 24/7 ...... the charger kicks itsself off when full and back on when needed. its kinda more in depth than that but thats the easiest way to explain it.
  22. A woman from Los Angeles who was a tree hugging, liberal Democrat and an anti-hunter purchased a piece of timberland near Colville, WA . There was a large tree ...on one of the highest points in the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her. In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch. In considerable pain, she hurried to a local ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a Democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters. The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her. She sat and waited three hours before the doctor re-appeared.The angry woman demanded, "What took you so long?" He smiled and then told her, "Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a 'recreational area' so close to a Waste Treatment Facility.
  23. that's 84mm of MERICA right there!!!!!
