  1. I live by the rule (even still on pickwick) if I haven't been to the area of the lake stay inside of the buoys. I know past 7 mile island on that end of the lake you better know where you are going or stay in the between the buoys. it REEEEAAAAAALLLLLYYYYY be helpful to know if Wilson is the same way...... I figure it is say from the powerlines east to wheeler dam...... this is just my guess viewing navionics map
  2. Traveler I know they carry it, because that's where I bought it....... what I was saying is I don't think they(wally world) sells it that cheap($28/gal) I THINK I paid over 30/gal at walmart for quicksilver synthetic
  3. why are they only charging them with 1st degree robbery........ why not add assault with a deadly weapon and/or attemped murder? they had a hammer for cripes sake!!! 4 thugs and limited mag space.... Lord help yall in NY.
  4. Mark Rose on FLW brings an aluminum rig to many events and spends many practice days in one too.
  5. Jake what is it like on Wilson below wheeler dam?..... is it safe to run, move about? You always hear on Pickwick below Wilson dan to be really careful as lower units and hulls are not safe. just asking because rock and fiberglass don't mix!
  6. the 734c is probably the most relied on, most versatile rod out there...... but first we have to get a few house keeping questions out of the way: 1. what is the smallest weight you want to pitch/flip 2. what is the heaviest you think you will use 3. what type of line will you use 4. what size line will you use 5. what type of cover will you mostly fish 6. how heavy is that cover .... is it thick, sparse, open water ect let see those answers and we all can get you in the right rod. I own several, but I am FAR from an expert. I know what I like, and why I like it though.
  7. where are you getting Merc synthetic for 28 a gallon? I don't think my walmart sells quicksilver synthethic that cheap, so you are getting a good price. I think dom-oil online might get it that cheap, so check them out. all that said..... run what your motor is used to, don't switch.... you want $28 a gallon,or $3000 in a new head ?
  8. atta boy!!!
  9. I would expect everything to be straight too.
  10. pipe foam, like the long pool floaters..... wont fit in a rod organizer in the rod box thought, if that is a concern.
  11. whatever gets fish to the boat , LMAO
  12. then don't worry about it....... it don't work, so don't waste your time. Please really, do not try it.
  13. if a guy isn't going to use tape or just run it through the whiffles........ this is the best idea I have EVER heard! so bloody simply, yet perfect!!!

  15. Andy........ why do you always have to be so durn reasonable and make sense all the time???? Don't you know who you are dealing with here, ha ha. Point noted and taken, sir.
  16. exactly, both of you are extremely correct. This is a great by-product of filming, you can see what REALLY happens, versus what you THINK happens. Both Jeff and I noticed it.... I own a net again now, but old habits are going to be hard to break.
  17. $68 a gallon free shipping..... buy in bulk and save!
  18. I think WRB is correct,as I have no reason to doubt it. but it is an extreme set of events. on average, with the food chain intact..... will a bass starve itself, no. do we agree on that?
  19. I got a friend that tells me all the time: "Needham, they got to eat, your job is the find the hungry ones and feed them"
  20. Kent, I am sorry to hear that. I know you and speedy fished many many times together, as you spoke of him often in your fishing reports.
  21. how old is the image? is it real time? TN river clears up pretty quick, so dirty one day might be clean the next, depending on how much current the TVA is pulling.... which right now, aint much.
  22. thank goodness wild bass aren't being held captive!
