  1. anyone use them........ they look absolute amazing!!!! seem to be a great Carolina rig bait, or rigged on a football head. I think I am going to try them. what say you???
  2. d**n Irene is ugly....and sleepy I bet!!
  3. cool thanks........ for some reason it is hard for me to shell out 120 to 200 for something that could save my life. crazy aint it???
  4. AbuCroixGuy---- I don't want you to think I am passing judgement because I am not.... I am perhaps speaking more freely than I should. this event and whole timeline concerns me......if you are going to call this man "brother" then you MUST take it to him face to face.... I implore you, have a come to Jesus talk with the guy, let him know you are there for him and will help him, like a real brother does and will do for a guy. In my line of work, I just let the guy go and wash my hands. I understand unions are different (whether I agree or not) if you care about this man help him. It is obvious the man does not understand how his actions has destroyed his life. is it my opinion, this is your call to action....to help someone in dire need..... this is WAY past unions, jobs, ect this is human to human.
  5. hell, this thread is evidence people in superior positions did not pursue it aggressively and waffled, knowing an alcoholic was operating heavy equipment. but I am sure when someone dies everyone will stand around and say "how did this happen?" I don't have to assume anything... I have read this thread and seen it in real life.
  6. if that is/was the case then it is the union's responsibility to step in......as it is a unsafe work environment.
  7. abucroixguy...........you are making the right choice. I wouldn't fish them if they weren't good or if I thought I could get something better for my money. how many jigs are you looking in each jig? if you get 3 sizes in 3 colors and 5 of each, you are looking at 45 jigs and at your budget. what exactly are you wanting? the dredge brush is kinda a do-all, so you might want to start there and branch out later. Personally I use all footballs, but that is a product of the water I fish
  8. there is nobody more picky about the stuff he uses than me, and I use Siebert's jigs...... they are high quality, and fish catchers. in fact, I changed from jigs I was happy with, and ordered samples from Mike more than once. I liked what I saw, so I switched. Everyone has opinions and that's great....... I am sure Dirty Jigs make a fine jig, and I have heard good things about them but they also sponsor the board you are a moderator at....
  9. EDIT: nevermind its so far gone of a cluster I guess when someone dies, lessons will be learned. good luck!
  10. snapped: Dobyns 733c off on a boat cleat Dobyns 735dx top foot off this weekend, snapped after I stumbled stepping up to front deck(boat wake), rod hit front graphs, next cast POP. Dobyns 784dx snapped top 1/3 off setting the hook on a rock..... I dinged it before so I was waiting for it to happen. thank God for no hassle warrentees!!!
  11. very true......and at public ramps you may have to pat that to launch anyways so it all evens out. Based on the pictures alone, I am buying into the managed area everytime. also, see if they will break the $900 into 3 installments so it will not sting as bad. the only real drawback and question I have is: Do you have open water 12 months a year?
  12. the owner deepthroat is the best jig hook out there.... bar none, and IMO not up for debate. it hooks them deep in the roof, if you set up on them good, you cant hardly shake em off.
  13. If I loosened all my straps, my boat would fly down the highway. I understand peoples routine is a routine. from my prespective, the little amount of steps involved in a routine the better. we all hear stories about someone not putting the plug in.... and now some people worry about tightening up straps before they leave the house? I'll pass, and continue to hitch up and go. but everyone does things a little different, and thats what makes the world go around.
  14. Bobby, I didnt personally use any during the trip(I know others did), i only got to fish for 2 days but I will say this: I only own 4 spinnerbaits and 3 of them are yours! With me being crazy that says a lot!!! I am excited to use that 3in bug in some of the pressured waters/tough summer bite condidtions I fish. always anxouis to see what you send down to the trips! THANK YOU
  15. in 2 weeks it is ALL offshore structure.
  16. HA HA Bobby.......... Glenn is a fun guy to fish with for sure! He has just enough sarcasm to make me like him, LOL. It really is like fishing with an old friend, he can take a ribbing, but aint scared to give you one either!!!! Good Times.
  17. yeap the Zman Challenge. they are posted here at bassresource!
  18. yup welcome to the club!!!!!!! Rarely go fishing without three jigs tied on.
  19. 1. get invisx 2. use line conditioner, liberally while spooling...... then the night before you go out 3. improved clinch is fine. I use that know 100% of the time 4. try to get in the middle of the rod's line rating....... for a normal jig/worm rod it is 12-15# 5. post pictures of pigs on jigs!
  20. atta boy MNbassman!!!!!
  21. how do you like that PFD??? I been thinking about springing for one of that style.
  22. look at Jonboy gettin' on down!!!!!!!
  23. I really like the Owner ultrahead shaky head...... I have since switched to the siebert extreme shaky because I love the deepthroat hook. the ultrahead is a fine, fine head that I have caught plent of fish on, many with a roboworm attached to it.
