I am just a regular Joe Shmo from AZ who loves to spend his extra time looking for the trophy of a life time. Love spending time with the rod and reel in my hand searching for the big one. Hoping to pass on the tradition to my 2yr old and my next son that is coming in December.

1. Striper love shad patterns. Rapala Shad Raps or storm shad swim baits. They are usually going after shad boils and love the early morning. The will bust on the top waters
2. Hey guys, Planning a dream trip to Castaic in March. First time ever going there. I am an avid Bass fisherman in AZ, but this is new territory for me. Any tips or advice for this trophy lake? Merry Christmas and Thank You
3. Hey guys! I have been out a few times since the weather has rapidly started to cool. Haven't had any luck at all. Caught two dinks. One under a pound and another just over the pound mark. I stick to the basics when fishing here. Earth tones: black, blue, purple, brown, green and pumpkin. Tried jigging, finesse worm, spinner bait, buzz bait, cranks, and even tried cheaters (night crawlers). No luck at all. Any advice?
4. I am assuming you are referring to a pond that was either created by some sort of river run off, a rock quarry maybe, or just a man made that is no longer getting any up-keep. Whatever the case may be. You need to try and locate any type of bait fish in the water. Try floating a night crawler or a meal worm. Maybe even salmon eggs. Those things are killer for cathing blue gill. Once you know there are bait fish, then you can test different thoeries. Frogs off a mossy patch and then dropping off the edge. Drop shot, buzzbait. Everyone's water is different.
5. Hey everyone! I am 21 and love bass fishing but have recently not been able to do a lot of lake fishing because my buddy sold his boat. Is there anyone who has a boat that wants a new fishing buddy. I will put in for gas or bait. We can discuss everything later on.
6. Down here in Az we are starting to see some of the "Fall Bite" to start up. I have been catching a lot of decent bass using spinnerbaits. Usually Red/Orange/Chartreuse or Black/Chartreuse. Idiana blades. I am also having success with a 1/8oz. Brown Football Head jig with a brown/purple skirt with purple flake. Added to that is a RoboFX chugger in Aaron's Magic or MMII. Try fishing in about 15ft-30ft of water off the points
