They have a product video for the exact rod on youtube. I know they have 2 versions of that Cumara model.
You may be able to apply these applications to your rod from a megabass rod chart
I've had tons of luck with them in all sizes in sexy or ghost shad. I would buy them on sale at DSG. I had one of my most memorable catches with one parallel to the bank. A 4.5 lb bass jumped out of the water like a great white when it hit the bait from the underside.
When I bought my NRX 894, I ordered U-40 with it. No problems at all although I was worried I'd mess up the application. Very easy to apply. I used it on a few other rods before I did something to dry out the tub of u-40.
I have an 894 but my goto all purpose is a Megabass Orochi Extreme Mission. I will look into a new Powell Endurance 7ft6 utility rod next as an alternate since it handles up to 3oz baits and weights under 4oz for $150.
It's pretty multi purpose. I've used mine for worms, jigs, spinner baits, chatter baits, square bills, senkos, top water walking baits, jerk baits, flukes, etc. Even frogging in places with overhanging trees when bank fishing since it's a little shorter than the conventional 7ft+ rods.
There are so many great choices like the Metanium MGL, Chronarch MGL, Lews Team Pro, BB1, various Daiwas and so on.. you can't go wrong but the important part is that you
Braid with leaders when needed on most of my reels. Few others have various copolymers, fluoros, etc
Brands vary for me, but I don't buy hyper expensive line.
I have a Gen 2 SX that I hated but learned to love, it's definitely a tank! I also have a Gen 3 Revo Elite Aurora 64. I like the finish better on the Gen 3 ( sample pic in avatar), but the Gen 2 was used 20000000% more and has given me more memories, it also feels more solid.
Horrible main line for me, but worked as leader material. I had many line breakages ranging from small kinks from a backlash to no apparent reason at all. I heard there were some bad batches, sent them an email 2x, never got a response. I am using their invzx based on user recommendations with no problems, but I ask myself should I have bought it after the previously ignored emails.
Any rod issue I had was resolved quickly and most were caused by UPS, but Abu fixed it. I can't say anything negative about them at all. I also lost parts when I took my 2nd gen Revo SX apart and they sent me the missing parts free of charge out of pitty. I don't buy many USDM Abu rods and reels anymore but the service as been top notch.
I own a 894 and have never had a problem with the seat or even a thought of it not being comfortable to use. My old gen 1 owemen, now thats another story.
I have a 7ft 11 for swimbaits but I really have nothing to compare it to as its my 1st swimbait setup. I do like it. There is a huge thread on tt as you might have seen. Might be your best bet.
I carried 2 extra reels with me today actually because I only wanted to bring 2 rods. If for some reason I was going to go froggin, I had a beater reel with braid on it that was usable on one of the 2 rods I brought. I had another all fluoro reel but I just stuck with light braid and a leader for the bottom contact.
