I bought red eyed shads based on what I saw on forums and vids. Ive used it the past 2 days and had the opportunity of catching 3 fish. I lost 2 way out in the lake since now I have a baitcaster and can actually cast past 10 ft I have now learned that the middle of the lake is shallow, weed city
Im a soft plastic guy and this seems to be good money. I bought another color yesterday.
After finding out that you just dont put braided line on a reel.....and setting it up the right way.....I caught my 1st fish on this today. 1st and only since using it. Ive only used it about 1hr and had about 30 backlashes
But I got this
st.croix mojo bass 7ft 6in 12-25lb its the "pitching" model used about 8 times max $45
This is a craigslist posting I saw locally. Is it worth buying in your honest opinion for this price? I figure I could throw a reel on this if its worth it

Bought this from Wally World today. Wanted to try out a baitcaster without spending an arm and a leg as Im a newbie. I set it up using good old youtube. I put some 15lb braid on it for now. I never used braided line before so now I see I could have used much heavier if I wanted to. I will report back. Its right hand retrieve and Im used to spinning so I think this may workout. I tried some reels at Dicks Sporting Goods and felt comfy with this. Wish me luck
The main reason I wanted to try them out. I heard they were the same thing but less expensive and carried different colors.
Good to know. I dont even think I checked the unit count to be honest
Those producto prices look good! Ill try a bag alo, thanks
I was on the BPS site and noticed they (GY Senko) went from an already inflated $7.99 the other day to $8.29 a pack . I bought mine from elsewhere, but I wonder if they will raise prices of these across the board. I bought my 1st bag the other day and they didnt last more than 2 days, being this is the 1st time I have ever fished these things. I didnt know how delicate they were. I bought some other brands but for some reason I think the GY ones worked like magic. Might be my imagination. I see the Kinami ones are $4.99 and I may try those along side the BPS/Yum ones I have.
Great site!! The fishing bug hit me again and Im trying to brush up a bit. I enjoy reading the topics and gaining knowledge from the site daily. I hope to catch something over 5lbs *my biggest Bass that Ive caught =( * in the near future.
