  1. I just got mine in, bought one used in LH off of a forum and I put it back on my carbonlite MH....feels so light. Im not letting this one go, made the mistake once already.
  2. I actually sent the email upon inspecting it today so nothing before Monday. I'm sure my rep will take care of me as he has been, she's been great so far service wise despite the incidents which have been out of her control.
  3. whats the budget veritas would be my 1st choice for 70(ship to store)...cons,,,,none in store, you can bring your reel to dicks/bps/etc and see how it looks feels....cover the reel's feet with tape because it may scratch from the nut on the reel seat vendetta will match well and feel balanced...its supposed to be factory balanced to the revo....I have a gen 2 revo and gen 2 vendetta but I put it onto the veritas instead even tho it looked sexy Shock is the least expensive, may be a bit heavier than the other choices but you can bring your reel into the store and see how it looks and feels..Id rather this than the vengeance Sellus is pretty decent, didnt know they had them at walmart. I had a crank bait rod once upon a time
  4. Had a rod that was 6ft9 microguide and the tip insert came out and the 2nd guide broke from the bottom(I think the rod was used/returned but it was a gift). They warrantied it and I asked for a 7ft11 rod instead. They shipped it and it came broken from UPS......they sent another 7ft 11to replace the broken one from UPS and all of the guides are cockeyed and twisted.
  5. Ill see what happens on monday...If I was around last week Id probably have another coming by Tueday but I was able to inspect the rod today. My mother was able to tell me it wasnt broken when accepting the rod for me but once I took it out of the bag I noticed every guide was screwey. It looked like a spiral wrapped rod. It came in a tube this time.
  6. I got another replacement and it wasnt broken this time....but all the guides were messed up and misaligned, sigh broken replacement and new broken replacement
  7. I have suffix elite line in 14lb, boy is it stretchy. The baits walk well, but when I have to undo a snag I have to make sure to duck
  8. Pro Qualifier from bass pro shops for 99 new or less on sale might be the best bet If you look online or in the marketplaces you can find some nice reels in this range also
  9. you can get a berkley lightning rod or shock version for 39.96 from walmart, nothing wrong with those rods for the money bass pro has the reg version for 34.99 but the shock is about 50 there
  10. Any luck to people using these lures?
  11. What kind of lures? Braid could probably be the line of choice depending
  12. I have a snap on my crank line so I can switch baits in a breeze
  13. The black one is supposed to be more durable based on the blank being non sanded. They feel lighter IMO the hook keeper locations are horrible on both and they are sharp which makes it worse You def want an extended over the counter warranty with these because the customer service e21 provides is horrendous. Paying extra 10-20 will save you having to pay 40 and wait on canadian shipping if a problem arises. I had 2 mishaps with the PG version,(quality issues), luckily they were both covered by gander at the time I love the rods tho otherwise. edit wild black The new E21 Wild Black Carrot Stix Casting Rods feature incredibly lightweight and sensitive 30-ton graphite blanks. The blanks are also non-sanded for increased strength, and all the graphics were moved down to the split grip handle for increased sensitivity and balance. The fewer labels and graphics at the front of the rods takes the practice of proper weight placement to the extreme and further enhances sensitivity. 8% lighter than the original Wild Carrot Stix, they also feature premium Fuji Micro Guides for a 10% increase in casting distance and enhanced accuracy. Featuring comfortable, premium cork split grips and no fore grips, Pac Bay exposed blank reel seats also have all but the essential material removed. Available for a great price, its hard to miss with the E21 Wild Black Carrot Stix Casting Rods. Backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty wild errrrnge Introducing the E21 Carrot Stix Wild Casting Series Rods. Each rod features Element 21’s advanced Nano Carrot Fiber and Nano Silica blank construction. E21 even increased the nano bio fibers in each blank, resulting in even heightened sensitivity and increased flex strength. High quality Pac Bay Semi-Micro Guides with Zirconium inserts provide the increased casting distance and better load distribution associated with micro guides, and they are still large enough to allow knots and debris to pass through with minimal resistance. Proprietary E21 Reel Seats also deliver direct access to the blank for increased sensitivity, and all but the essential material has been removed to help reduce weight even further. Offering the advanced performance and sensitivity you expect from E21 - at a value-conscious price - the E21 Carrot Stix Wild Casting Rods.
  14. I noticed it cast really well when using my friends reel for a bit using a small spook with 80lb braid. It def felt way smoother than my citica e, his citica g felt smoother to me too, maybe something is up with my E from the factory *shrugs*
  15. lol, that has to be the dreaded auto correct
  16. catching fish must be fun
  17. used a G today, reel casted well and felt smooth to me, would buy one on the low....Im not a reel snob tho
  18. They sent me a replacement rod and ups broke it, send me another and all is fine. I requested they use a rod tube and they did this time. Abu rocks
  19. They are great over there, congrats
  20. They are going crazy in a spot I fish in. Schools of huge bass. I lost a 4-5 today at the shore. You seen tons of big fish. You catch a fish and they bring more in. I caught a 3.5, threw him back in, my friend cast his lure out and the bass turns back and eats the jerkbait...mind you the bass was bleeding a bit. Its been nuts. Every fish last sat was fat as all heck
  21. Ive seen some in the park on Sheridan and 172nd in Pines If you want to go down to Miami for loads of them, contact my buddy Hai aka urban angler miami He will put you onto them also if you want some action down south here is one of many caught that day
  22. Usually the ones that dont fight get killed upon hookset, lol The smaller ones seem to get killed from hollow body frogs on occasion. You know its rip when you can ski it in. I've caught my biggest in Coral Springs and Lauderhill. We've even caught some in Plantation off nob hill road and cleary. I swore I saw a small one come out of the grass and surface near target in royal palm beach but I wasnt 100% sure, but since some of you said they are up there it may have been. For people looking to catch, try to fish on a hot sunny day, they will be alot more active than a cooler one If you are in Coral Springs, 99% of the canals off of Sample road, starting from the sawgrass xprswy will have them. Look on google maps for canals with alot of walking room because you will have to do much of it if on foot, if not you will be driving all over the place. industrial areas and business complex canals will usually have a ton also since people arent fishing them as easily as apt complex canals where you can just walk out back. Golf courses seem to be holding monster sized ones. Ive seen/missed/caught ones that are 36 inches and more. Soon you'll see balls of fry popping on the surface, just cast and get your lure into the fry ball and 99% of the time you will hook up. Ive had some instances where the snakes just want the lure out of the area and they swat them, you can tell they arent into attacking, just giving a warning to get away. Seems people hate them, but I love them. My fave freshwater fish to catch (havent caught a snook or tarpon yet) over peas and bass. They are ugly but pretty to me =). My buddies and I caught this one about a week ago, was fun hauling it up the rockledge
