  1. They sent me a handwritten post card of appreciation with my 1st order. Great pricing and service.
  2. I see more in 6'6" Med than MH at this length, you can use the filter setting on TWH. If I want a better variety of shorter rods at this point, gotta go with JDM/overseas models in most instances. Been eyeing the 166MH Poison Adrena.
  3. I have the 7'6" casting rod and I can't really complain. Aesthetics are nice, sensitivity is good and the travel case is solid. It fishes like a one piece to me.
  4. I can't take anymore rod related financial blows, Im 50 bucks away from seeing Elizabeth!
  5. Based on what I have... yes, but I want to get rid of almost all of it and start all over, with a more minimalistic approach ?
  6. Seaguar Abrazx (stiffer/ more abrasion resistant) Invizx (more limp) Tatsu (best/most expensive) Sunline Sniper (More limp) Shooter (stiffer/ more abrasion resistant)
  7. Caught....Or Lost I lost a 5+ when it jumped today, it was around 3pm. The hook didn't penetrate the plastic all the way, smh. Expletives flew out of my mouth and I had to look around after out of embarrassment
  8. Ahh, it actually appeared in my feed around the time you posted the initial thread
  9. Did you do a review on youtube? I saw one recently, was wondering if that is you. I am interested in getting one of these rods. I like trying new items, especially when discounted since I have a credit with Abu.
  10. I believe Butch Brown said something similar about his swimbait catches
  11. I use 20lb Abrazx and Invizx Fluoro I also use 20-25lb P-Line CXX Copoly Copoly is a good all around/inexpensive
  12. Veritas TE rods from Tackle Warehouse - Offering avid anglers a rod series with increased strength and improved weight and sensitivity, the Abu Garcia Veritas PLX Tournament Casting Rods deliver impressive, tournament-caliber performance. Featuring 36-ton graphite blanks as their foundation, anglers can expect the extreme sensitivity needed to detect subtle bites and changes in their lake’s contour. The unique blanks also rely on Abu Garcia’s proprietary Powerlux 200 resin technology that increases the rods’ break strength without adding any extra materials or weight to maintain a more balanced feel. In addition to the tournament-ready blanks, the Abu Garcia Veritas PLX Tournament Casting Rods boast innovative manufacturing technologies, such as the Robotically Optimized Casting System guide train that maximizes casting distance with lighter lures. Additionally, they utilize titanium alloy guides with ultra-light Zirconium inserts for expert line management and quiet casting performance. Molded carbon split grips are employed to give anglers a new age feel while further reducing weight and increasing sensitivity. Outfitted from base to tip with innovative and unique components and materials, the Abu Garcia Veritas PLX Tournament Casting Rods are the next evolution in tournament rods. -36-ton graphite blanks with Powerlux 200 -Ergonomic Abu designed reel seats -ROCS Guide train -Titanium allow guides with ultra light Zirconium inserts -Carbon split grips - The normal PLX models use 30 ton in comparison to the 36 in the TE
  13. The one near me increased the fishing area significantly, it's a pretty big space. They have pretty good selection of items and rods for 95% of anglers. They have 3 full aisles of Googan stuff plus extra end caps.
  14. Nice review, I'm sold, don't even need one.
  15. Personally, I'd take the Veritas. The price is better, the warranty is 3 years. Abu is great with service. I had an issue once, they sent me a new rod and I got to keep the old one. Years later I asked them a question about a guide on one of my Gen 1 Veritas rods, it was like 90 years out of warranty and they offered me 45% off of any rod.
  16. For me, 12-20lb Shooter, Sniper, Abrazx, Invizx
  17. I bank fish in Florida sun so, I tend to limit heavy baits or baits with a lot of drag in the water, especially if I'm using faster reels. I don't feel I need anything over 7 speed at this point. I do have a xh rod that can make many heavy baits move like finesse baits on a lift fall retrieve, but it's not always with me. The heaviest swimbait I tend to fish is 4oz right now and ones that move freely in the water for the most part.
  18. Jerk baits will work especially, if you can get them to suspend above the grass so you have no fouling issues. Crappie jigs work extremely well, since they are small, the peas have no issues ingesting them and the hooks are sharp.
  19. I started buying longer rods, now I am going in reverse. Looking for 6'-6'6" rods for bank fishing. I watch mainly JDM videos and the practicality makes sense based on areas that I fish, plus reduced fatigue. I can use longer rods when needed.
  20. We're ⬇️
  21. I have the same rod, it's a good general purpose rod. I have used it for almost every lure including up to 3oz swim baits (tiny klash, gantarel, etc). If you have any questions you can send me a message since this is an older thread.
