  1. Personally I'd use that for something else. Most people could get by on a lightning rod shock for frogging cost = $40 dollars
  2. Walmart spinnerbait has been my #1 producer for good size fish. I got 2 tatulas from valley sports yesterday. Ill try them this week
  3. Project Sea Biscuit is almost dry..soon to be in the mangroves and the lakes.
  4. I was on the phone and rolled up on the back half of some Godzilla like creature. I probably jumped about 53 inches straight up into the air.
  5. 1 dollar walmart spinnerbait in white is still shutting down the club! That is all.
  6. Congrats, better than molten chocolate cake
  7. I was slow rolling spinner baits with it yesterday and caught 9 out of 12 fish with the yellow in less than 1hr. Im not doing much worm and jig fishing with it to be honest. Topwater, swimbait and spinner baits mainly and no probs.
  8. Just ordered both reels from Ron at Valley Sports, great guy!!!!
  9. Once I found out the taulas are under retail on the auction sites and the zon' call me count tatula, bout to order 2-3 Regular and R's
  10. That curado looks so gaudy that I must have one!!
  11. I think Ill pick one of these up and a clearance Curado when they drop. The reviews of the tatula have been solid from 30 mins of reading.
  12. Calico Jack as said, tec spec, lightning rod shock or something lightly used.
  13. those and keitech swing impacts Dicks sporting goods had a clearance sale so I made it rain on Saturday...bought some lucky crafts and various other baits
  14. I'm catching lots of Bass on 50lb high vis yellow PP with no leader. The water is pretty clear in the lake I'm fishing in.
  15. Anyone that recommends a St. Croix spinning rod, seems to point out that one as the one to buy. I've contemplated purchasing based on the many great reviews that I've seen online and I may.
  16. Im looking into this reel myself or the type r. Reading reviews, I notice people call this reel "heavy" . I fish a revo sx gen 2 and PQs which are much heavier with no probs. I don't see many people complain about the PQ being 8.8 ozs. Report back. I saw many of the other Daiwa models are on sale on TW but I may stick to this model.
  17. Nothing wrong with that reel IMO at that price. I personally like the reel. People will compare it to the 200E full price vs full price and say buy something else. My friend broke one and it was 20 dollars to replace a gear and re-lube. Cost friendly repair, he's abusive to his gear. HawgTech sells bearings and accessories for it also to make it all "spiffy" if you want to modify it. http://hawgtech.com/
  18. I bought a canoe from a friend, who posts on here also. No longer land locked, well I have nothing to transport the canoe with yet other than the old mans suv, but almost there. Fishing has been really good for me when I do go. Seems I average at least 4-5 in the hour I fish if not more as of recent. The $1 walmart spinner bait has been killing it. Bought 6 more last night. 1 usually lasts me a good while as long as I get the skirt tied up well.
  19. Im always high stepping thru grassy areas like Roger Craig. I know what you mean with the rocks, I've seen them too near 595 (iguanas and snakes). I can deal with the iguanas but Id rather skip the snakes. The worst was seeing 5+ft rattle snake floating on top of the water at Wolf Lake, while simultaneously having wild geese stare at you, then chase your car when leaving. Im bringing nun-chucks next time.
  20. I throw them on various 7ft-7ft6 MH-H rods. Usually on braid due do vegetation
  21. Id suggest 50-65lb braid all around, then you can add leaders or use straight if needed. That's what I tend to carry on my 1 rod outings. If its a dedicated rod then sift through other choices. I have 15lb invisx on my so called "soft plastic/jig" rod
  22. The 2500 is more than sufficient. I watch my friend catch huge saltwater fish on that reel, that make bass look laughable, with absolutely no problems
  23. Maybe try better line first. Most people should be able to feel cranks wobble with the most inexpensive of poles and when the bait feels "different" something has happened. Unless you just want a new rod.
  24. I bought some vmc, haven't used them yet tho. Im about to get my snell on!
