  1. I have a few US spec and JDM rods. The New Days 360 will be releasing soon in Japan, which will feature "T1100G" blanks. I am interested to see what the price point is. The old models were under $200 shipped from Japan with SIC guides.
  2. The weight is accurate that I posted on my model. I got the rod when it fist released so your rod either weighs more due to being counterbalanced or the blank has changed.
  3. With a regular Tatula it'll balance well. It's tip heavy with lighter reels, but doesn't really bother me. I normally have a 200 sized reel on it since its kind of all purpose from soft plastics to smaller swimbaits. The taper is nice also. It took a backseat to my Majorcraft Days in the all purpose dept. since I can throw 3/8-6oz on it.
  4. It's really about 1 oz heavier. It was 4.7 oz on my food scale with the plastic on the cork. I put the weight on tackle tour's database. It's still light, but not that what is stated. My zbone nfc x-ray 7ft3 mh was 3.8oz for comparison. Powell is 3 inches longer and rated to 3oz, not sure why they stated 3.7 oz rod weight.
  5. I will fish 1/4oz and up free rigs/Texas/Jigs plus the bait, on the 20lb fluoro when I do. Does not matter the weight going upward. It is marketed for A-Rig, Punching, Big Baits. I have no issues with feel either. Double footed sic guides.
  6. It's stout in that regard, but I have no problem casting baits or landing fish. Flipping them onto the bank isn't even an afterthought, not worried about anything happening to the rod. Can't really complain since it all double footed sic guides, happy with the purchase, especially for the cost. I fish 2-4oz baits primarily with it. (TK, K9, KRK205, etc). They have new Days360 models coming next spring.
  7. I have an 2013 Exsence DC on it which is about 8oz spooled with 20lb abrazx. It's pretty balanced with that reel.
  8. I have a (Major Craft DAYS DYC‑70X) - About 200 shipped on eBay from Japan 3/8-3oz - It's 7ft, it can throw a Deps 250 with no issues at over 6oz. I use it for all kinds of tactics, even worms and jigs if I bring one rod. He's throwing a 303 on it, which is 9 oz ?
  9. Coincidentally I was looking at this on the Japanese site yesterday. I have been on that site a million times and I don't know why I only noticed it yesterday.
  10. iRod has a new Bobby's Perfect Frog Rod which is 7ft9 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cgw5PFMLTv9/
  11. To be honest, I use my 894c (old model) for almost everything: Texas, free rig, jig, jika, senko and cover scat related. It is tip heavy, but my biceps, triceps and deltoids are quite stunning, so I have no issues. ?
  12. Abu Garcia Fantasista Premier Casting Rods ($159.98) https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Abu_Garcia_Fantasista_X_Casting_Rods/descpage-AGFX.html?from=basres Ark Invoker Limited Edition Cast Rod 7' Med Hvy XFast ($159.98) https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Ark_Invoker_Limited_Edition_Casting_Rods/descpage-AIZ.html
  13. Will pick one of these up. $42.99 is not too bad IMO for a swimbait.
  14. They have the grips on the site https://northforkcomposites.com/product/nfcg013c01/ I hope they have some rod sizes I need in the Epitome series ?
  15. I'll be the voice of reason in this thread...do it.
  16. I'm ready for this Edge Rods release ? https://www.instagram.com/p/CgHlVt3rQ7_/ The Epitome A sub 3oz Medium Heavy Bass rod has been a “unicorn” We have never seen anything this light, strong, sensitive.
  17. I hope it works for you. They always seemed like more of a jig hook soft bait rod, but you may be okay with mono if its a bit stiff. Looking forward to your feedback. I guess we can watch Zaldain lose his bait, the bend looks okay here. I guess you will see for yourself.
  18. This is my go to knot. Coincidentally I lost my Gan Craft Jointed Claw on a monster peacock bass yesterday. I was lazy with knot (cinching it) and I did not leave a good tag end on it. I usually leave a tag long enough to compensate for any slippage, just in case. I did a figure 8 after it followed my bait, hit it and it swam off with 70 dollars ?? I hope it shakes it free at some point, it's a floater so maybe someone will enjoy it if they find it.

  20. They don't even ask you to ship the broken rod back either like most companies do. Remember, yesterday's price, is not today's price..so the $9.95 is not bad compared to other places, even if it was free before.
  21. Fishing never ceases to surprise me. Something deemed "tranquil" can end up in a shambles. I remember this guy was always nice to me, until I had to walk behind his house to try to retrieve a lure that I got snagged. I must have walked at the edge of the lake and attempted to retrieve my lure for less than 20 seconds. Technically it was not his property, but I am always respectful and thought because I talked to him many times he would understand. He calls the police and says there is a "suspicious fisherman" in my backyard. I was walking around with a yellow and black Skeet Reese bag and an orange Carrot Stix rod at that time. It doesn't get more incognito than that. It was always war after that incident unfortunately, we ended up like Seindfeld and Newman.
  22. $150 range iRod Genesis III Powell Endurance Daiwa Tatula (depends on length) Tackle Trap has a Hammer Rod for under 150 with a coupon code Hammer Tackle Trap Limited 7'3" Heavy 1/4-1oz
  23. To be fair, I only ordered once so far so hopefully my next order comes with a love note
