  2. They'll probably just ship you one UPS for free, (most Ive ever paid was $10) and let you keep the original rod. You can take the bad rod to a rod repair place and fix the guides and end up with 2 rods.
  3. You're not lying! Ups broke my rod and Abu sent me 2.
  4. I thought it looked cool, minus the text on it.
  5. The shipping prices are excessive. 18 dollars for a rod bringing the zx back to almost retail when on sale.
  6. Lamiglas Infinity Bass Casting Rod 7'3" Med Hvy Its 279.99 but got it on a twh sale, which is often enough. It can do it ll pretty much based on my experiences with it. I bought it primarily as a jig rod which it does well (sensitive) but I also use if for throwing some swimbaits and frogs and whatever else pops up. Its rated 1/4-1 1/2 I too have a Powell 723 which is amazing. It feels weightless with a team lite lews on it. I also got one when TW was blowing them out.
  7. This should fire you up
  8. I ordered the green but it came broken and opted for the blue after seeing the green. Based on the amount Ive fished it, I should have opted on saving my money =(
  9. Then its blue or green.
  10. I wanted a full handle KLX, havent seen one in a while
  11. SHIPPING & HANDLING $16.95 tax not even calculated yet if any
  12. The veritas makes a great worm and jog rod, you'll have no problems with straight braid or adding a leader. Ive used mh/h in both situations in the generation 1 version.
  13. lol @ this academy sale item Daiwa Steez® EX 100XS Hyper Speed Baitcast Reel Right-handed $599.98 was: $599.99
  14. twin tail grubs
  15. Did they raise their prices on the KLX models? I swore they were less expensive before.
  16. Depends where you read, some areas it says that and then on certain pages it says this: " A CarbonLite rod is a thing of beauty, built on an ultra-rich carbon-fiber blank that compares favorably to 85 million modulus (IM9) graphite."
  17. It's the only fluro I've used that has ever splintered. It looked like a banana peel when scratched and even when you cut the line to tie on a new lure. You could actually peel away fibers from it. I will pull it off of the reel it's on now and fill it with braid. It's not even worthy of being used as leader material.
  18. They have .73 cent berkley gripper jigs
  19. There are many variables in the question and some good answers already posted. There are a few 100 dollar rods I choose over a "GL2" for instance. Check around tho, places like Dicks Sporting Goods always has stupid prices clearance sales. Red Cumaras, were $80.00 and Crucials were $40...other rods were way below retail also. Can't go wrong in those situations.
  20. They look sweet, the backbone to tip ratio on the description is interesting. Im sure they'll add the other info in shortly. I'd be surprised if they Duckett'd it with no lure ratings.
  21. This review is enough to make me buy one: Advantages: just like a beautiful woman..., beautiful to look at and a pleasue to hold Disadvantages: you've got to be kidding me!
  22. I like many brands unfortunately, big box and site sponsors. I was able to buy a ton of Berkley Gripper Jigs for $.73 cents each from Dicks Sporting Goods. I dont like losing my good jigs in areas where I know I'll always end up hung up, so Ill use these there so the pain isnt too bad. I've never used them before but the investment was minimal.
