  1. Great topic and helpful info from Rhino. I fish from a kayak, and recently bought a Hummingbird PT 160. I am getting used to the readings on the FF and see the structure, but have questions like where to cast when I see fish on the FF. Typically, I stop over drop-offs, or submerged structure when I observe fish, but so far have been unsuccessful on hooking one.
  2. Breezy, I have a Future Beach Trophy 126, and fish/paddle over flat waters - reservoirs, lakes 95 % of the time, and a slow moving river sometimes. The 126 is very stable and just right for transport and handling alone. I would recommend the 126 to anyone with flat water use, and ease of handling - transport as well as tracking.
  3. I bought my first kayak - a 10 footer. The size depends on factors like : type of waters you fish, flat or moving, transport you have, and portage needs. I chose the kayak based on weight, portage, type of waters I fish and transport I have. And no complaints, I enjoy this much better than shore fishing. Hope this helps you in choosing your kayak.
