  1. fished the nip the other day for about an hour. My friend caught a pretty big bass over near the boat ramp. If youre standing facing the boat ramp with the parking lot behind you, we were fishing over to the right where theres an opening between the lilly pads. thats my favorite spot at the Nip, but i also dont have a boat so thats the only spot for me.
  2. search "41.936493,-70.953612" without the quotes on google maps. thats where i fish most of the time. caught some pretty nice ones out of there. you have to park on the road and climb up and then back down a big hill. Not a lot of people know its there because of that hill, which is what makes it awesome. also, if you decide to go there, there is a path from the road to the lake, its hard to find but its better than trying to get through the woods.
  3. i go back to school to start RA training on august 17th so i wont be able to make this one. =/
  4. my friends keep mentioning that they want to go deep sea fishing this summer so im trying to find a cheap trip. Anyone know of any companies doing cheap deep sea fishing trips for like 1/2 day?
  5. i would assume it would be the other way around. The deeper water is colder and colder water holds more oxygen. Odd that the lower fish were dead. Maybe they were on the hook too long?
  6. ill have to go next time if theres an open boat, im a professional photographer and i work at deval patrick's press office. we should try and get another one going before summers over
  7. thanks for the welcome guys. hoping to catch some fish tomorrow but its been brutal here last couple of days. was ~100 today and had to weed wack all day at work.
  8. hey guys, my names Mike. Just really got into fishing this summer but im doing it as much as possible. I go at least 4 or 5 times a week. From the Bridgewater area in MA.
  9. has anyone ever fished massasoit state park in taunton? ive been there and seen their lakes but never fished or seen anyone fishing there
  10. new to the forums here. Wont be able to make it to this one but would love to go to the next. good luck guys also, jones508. Youre from WB? me too. What a small world. this town is tiny.
  11. hey mcliff, im over in the bridgewater area. theres some nice places to take your kids fishing over in raynham such as Johnson's Pond. Theres also Hewitts pond a couple minutes down the road. If youre looking for some decent sized fish, theres the clay banks in Bridgewater near the correctional facility but im not sure if its 100% legal to fish there. Ive never gotten in trouble even with cops driving by. Its a bit of a hike to get to the actual pond but its worth it once you get there.
