  1. I've owned several boats in the past but have always bought them in full with cash. Always have issues with them and I'm tired of being scared of making big runs or fishing big water in bigger tournaments. Looking to finance a new boat. Looking for any tips for boat financing such as down payment requirements, best finance options, or anything information like that.
  2. The Santee cooper river has some great fishing during the spring and fall. Summer can be tough with the water temps being so high. I tend to fish the coves and bays that have good vegetation with deeper water close by. I usually have better success flipping and punching grass mats in those areas with a soft plastic and on cloudy days I throw a topwater frog. Summer tends to be a tough time to catch the bigger fish but they are definitely in there. Good luck and good fishing!
  3. I would switch from mono to fluorocarbon. Mono has a lot of stretch in the line so when fish jump they have a lot of time for that hook to wiggle out. Fluorocarbon has no stretch so you get good hook penetration. I generally use 10 pound for deep cranks and 12-17 on shallow runners depending on the cover I'm fishing.
  4. I'm new to the central Carolina area and I'm curious if there are any local clubs that are in the local area. Any information would be great!
  5. in the early morning is the best time to fish docks. period. usually go down a row of docks twice. first throw a spinnerbait or crank bait on the sides. on the second wave throw a jig or tube. when there is a lot of sun skip a tube to the shadiest part of the dock and slowly pull, drag or hop it out.
  6. Flipping the mats with a craw or jig.
  7. hey im going fishing on a river in a week or so and i just found out if hasn't rained there in a couple of weeks. the water is hot but the water level is still pretty normal. where will the fish go in this super hot weather? its been 95+ degrees for the past 5-6 days.
