  1. Deep Cranks, Shakey Head, Drop Shot, and Topwater. They need polishing.
  2. My favorite color for the Xr75 is Oxbow.
  3. 1. They both work well in different situations. 2. All the colors work well. 3. They look the exact same on both websites. Maybe it is your computer/browser.
  4. Some silent lipless cranks you might find are... Damiki Tremor Lucky Craft LV 300S
  5. It will work great! Just go fish and have fun.
  6. If you don't mind the weight, the St Croix Mojo Big Crankster 7'8" MH/M is a great Mid to Deep crank rod. It also can throw big squarebills and lipless cranks.
  7. Why do you only trust GYCB and HRT rather than other soft bait companies. I heard you like HRT's customer service but our sponsors Rage Tail and Bite It help keep this site up and running while answering questions about their product and taking in ideas from their customers. It's not often that you can get help with catching fish straight from the designer of the product. As far as I see it, GYCB is overpriced and doesn't give back much to the fishing community. Even if they catch more fish.
  8. I have a sahara that I like as well. If you are in the market for a casting reel, take a look at the Lew's Tournament Pro. I have one and it is great! It's super light and smooth. I got mine for $154 new on ebay.
  9. Neither. Some better reels in that price range are the BPS Pro Qualifier, Shimano Citica ($100 at Gander Mtn), and Lew's Speed Spool.
  10. Medium or Medium Heavy will both work for your location.
  11. I think a good spinning setup would be beneficial for how you are going to be fishing. Maybe a stradic and cumara combo.
  12. Use some sort of cleanser (dawn, simple green, etc) and a toothbrush instead.
  13. I've used both. Go with the Pro Qualifier for sure.
  14. Glad I snagged an older model carbonlite on sale while everyone was scrambling for these.
  15. Both the silent and rattling versions can dive to 6 feet.
  16. Dawn and water with a toothbrush.
  17. Have you considered one of our many great sponsors, Pinnacle. They make a micro guide rod in your budget that I have heard performs very well.
  18. Well I can't find that bait on the BPS website anymore. Maybe they cancelled it.
  19. Yes, I throw mine on a 6'6" MH/F rod.
  20. I like the Gamakatsu Monster EWG hooks. You can use any line you like for hollow bellies. I prefer 14# fluorocarbon.
  21. You might want to get a cranking rod if you don't have one. Cranking rods usually have a moderate action.
  22. You could try the Gamakatsu Barbless Octopus hook.
