  1. I don't find them to be very sensitive and the hook keeper is in a terrible spot. I was looking at the Carrot Stix and the BPS Xtreme at BPS a week ago and opted for the Xtreme.
  2. I do have a little hula popper so that should work thanks!
  3. I found a spare Berkley Cherrywood in my basement so I threw on one of my Shimano Sahara 1000FD's with 4lb mono. Any recommendations for lures? I don't really do much light stuff, it's rated for 1/8oz. to 1/4oz. I put a Strike King Bitsy Minnow on it and it casted fine so that's a reference.
  4. Presentation means a alot more than color. Those colors will work fine.
  5. Sexy Shad
  6. True but an 100 pack of powerbait is more than twice as much as what I bought.
  7. I saw magnetic bullet weights on ebay that stick to the eye of the hook.
  8. If I had the money I'd get the Shimano Cumulus or a Loomis GLX.
  9. I'm not a big fan of braid except for cat fishing but that line looks great, I didn't like how the spectra handled. Too bad it's expensive.
  10. I don't see the point of getting rid of stuff. I fish from my kayak and have a limited space for tackle.(Actually I only bring one waterproof plano box.) I just pick out of my main tackle box and only bring what I'll need. Scaling down doesn't mean you have to throw stuff away. Just store it somewhere else until you need it.
  11. Will do, thanks.
  12. I picked up a brand new Shimano Chromica on ebay for 40 bucks. It is really smooth and strong. I use the Seaguar InvisX 10lb test and it is great, no break offs yet. If your looking for a nice rod too, I would recommend the BPS XPS Extreme rods. I have the spinning rod and recently bought a new trigger one for 55 bucks. Stay away from the cheaper KVD reels.
  13. Has anyone bought any baits from Wholesale Soft Plastics? I just bought 100 of their 6" Curl tail worms for a good price and was wondering if they're any good. I go through a lot of plastics and for the price of 2 packs of Yamamoto's I took a chance. They look similar to the powerbait curly tails to me.
  14. I've never tried a mouse but always had good luck on Koppers lures and their frog. It is pretty expensive but if that's not a problem then it's worth a try!
  15. Have you tried any of the Live Target lures? They are pretty expensive but I've caught a lot of largemouth and some pike on the gizzard shad crankbait. I also like the KVD square bill crankbait by Strike King. I have the sexy shad color and it has a real nice action. Looks like a nice list though.
