  1. X2 My Gamakatsu Octopus haven't failed me once, dropshotting or wacky rigging.
  2. Why? I love tony's
  3. BPS Extreme 6' F Spinning Rod
  4. I'm in if ya don't mind. Team name is Pack Attack
  5. I am an avid ebay buyer and seller and think I know what you are talking about. They use a software called Auction Sniper or a simaler one. You can program it to bid what you want at the very last second and can even program it to win for you no matter what. You can get a free trial of it on their website, just google it. But it will cost you money after the trial runs out. Sad thing is that ebay just overlooks it.
  6. Wayne is probably right. Where I fish mine I don't need a weed guard. I have never snagged anything.
  7. My Jig & Worm rod is a BPS Extreme 6'6" MH Fast Tip, I love that rod especially since I got it half off. The reel on it is a Shimano Chromica 6.2:1 Reel which is also really nice. (Got it for half off too!) My Crankbait rod is a Falcon BuCoo 6'6" M Moderate Tip, I just got it this month and it's decent. The reel is a Ardent C400 5.0:1 reel and it's a workhorse. The difference between a fast tip and a moderate tip is that a the fast tip is stiffer and puts more pressure on the fish while the moderate tip has a lot more give to it. When you fish with worms you usually use a big ewg hook and you need to keep pressure on the fish. With a crankbait you need to give that fish some slack so it doesn't spit out your lure. Here is an example: When I worm fish I use the texas rig most of time. My favorite worms are GYCB Senkos in the 4" Size. I use a 5/0 EWG hook and a 1/4 oz/ bullet weight.
  8. Weird, I saw your video on the hatcams facebook page before I saw this.
  9. For crankbaits a good rod would be 7' MH Moderate Tip and a 5.0:1 Baitcast Reel For worms a good rod would be 6'10" MH Fast Tip and a 6.2:1 Baitcast Reel
  10. Pro-Cure is my favorite and I'd consider it goopy?
  11. Yeah it can. Bill Dance did a viewer email response about it. The light reflects off of the hook while the light passes through the line. Hold up a red hook to a light and you notice it still looks the same. Hold up a piece of red cajun line to the light and the line turns into a lighter color than it was before.
  12. Since you said you can't buy online in a previous thread, your going to have a heck of a time trying to meet those standards for $110. But like I said earlier, try to find a citica on sale and a closeout compre.
  13. It will do it's job. But did you check to see if your Dick's had any curados or citicas on sale still? Either of those would blow that combo out of the water and the citicas are going for like $30!
  14. I used to see the $100 version on ebay for $20 and was wondering if they were good.
  15. A rods length will be more than enough.
  16. You should be fine since the line color is lo-vis but if a leader makes you more confident then use one.
  17. I don't know your price range but if I had to choose this for my setup, I'd get a St. Croix Avid 7' Med-Hvy MF Cranking Rod and an Ardent C400. (Love that reel!) At $330 that will be a nice combo. I have also heard good things about the Lamiglass rods for deep divers.
  18. HAHA I didn't even notice that!
  19. Saw these on TW today. They sure look sleek but I hated the Skeet Reese rods they offer. They have a good selection of square bill rods in this series which is cool. I guess I missed the video of these at ICAST. Anyone going to try one of these? Wright & McGill Rick Clunn S-Glass Reaction Rods
  20. Yeah that's what I thought.
  21. 1. I use a setup like that for wacky rigs and dropshot 2. I use that for my t-rigs and jigs 3. I would use that for spinnerbaits For my t-rigs and jigs, I use Seaguar InvisX Fluorocarbon in 10lb test, love it. For my wacky rig and dropshot, I have one spool of fireline braid for wacky rigs and a spool of trilene xt for my dropshot. For my crankbaits, I use Yo-Zuri Hybrid, I love it too.
  22. A lot of people here say to us 50-70lb on a baitcaster or else it will dig but I have never used it on a baitcaster, only spinning.
  23. Pflueger President Combo
  24. Looks like a bullhead
  25. I use 6/0 EWG with a 1/2 oz tungsten. That is for everything except my 4" senkos, then I'll step down to a 4/0 with a 1/4 oz.
