  1. Ima Beast Hunter 6XD's DD22 Spro Little John DD Fat Free Shad I am new to deep cranking as well. I can't wait for my Sebile D&S Cranks to arrive.
  2. Copolymers are very popular. I use a lot of them and like them.
  3. Then go with power pro.
  4. Smallmouth: St. Clair Shores(Lake St Clair), Buffalo(Erie), Traverse City(Grand Traverse Bay) Largemouth: New Orleans(Pontchartrain), Falcon(Falcon Lake), Guntersville(Guntersville Lake), Okeechobee(Lake Okeechobee) We have many great places to fish in the United States!
  5. I ship USPS with inexpensive rods in the <7'0" category. I can usually ship for right at $10 without insurance. For larger and more expensive rods, I trust UPS with my shipping but will pay about $30 total. (Shipping, tracking, signature, and insurance.)
  6. St. Croix Mojo Glass, no joke. Great cranking rod for that price. I got the 7'8" MH/M and saved money to buy more deep divers.
  7. Depends how much you want to spend. You cant cut corners with fluorocarbon. I fish pretty sparse cover and use 14lb Sunline FC Sniper and it gets it done. If you don't want to spend much and like braid then all means go with 50lb braid. You can also add a leader if you feel it is too visible or to boost your confidence.
  8. I haven't used these and don't plan to.
  9. I don't like the current ones. Kvd is fishing some new prototypes and they should be released soon.
  10. Not as hard as you make it sound. I like using 4lb or 5lb braid for trout fishing.
  11. 5lb Power Pro or 4lb Fluoro is what I'd go with.
  12. Nice deals but most are products I've already seen clearanced around me.
  13. Why are you asking after you already ordered it? Can't change your mind as easily now.
  14. Obviously. Most brands don't carry 25lb fluoro and if they do it is usually expensive.
  15. I think J was talking to nwibass.
  16. I'd suggest you get a used Curado B5 or B3.8. If I had to choose one of those I'd go with the Caius. If you can find a new Shimano Chromica 100b somewere they are a great reel for the money. They are an older discountinued reel but will come up on auction sites every now and then. Sam performance as my Curado 200e but just not as light and almost as smooth.
  17. He is saying that if your rod is submerged the weight won't matter much. A lot of knowledgeable people are giving you spot on advise and you are mocking them. It already sounds like you know what you want so don't waste the time of others making a buch of topics then throwing their ideas out the window.
  18. I'm using 12lb Seaguar Senshi this year. I know some pros including KVD use fluoro with jerkbaits but it's not my cup of tea.
  19. Lew's is smoother in my hands and the spool starts up faster. It also feels like it is built better. Both are very nice reels though.
  20. Casting: Plastic/Jig Rod: 14lb Sunline FC Sniper Fluoro Squarebill/Spinnerbait: 14lb Sunline FC Sniper Fluoro Jerkbait/Smaller Swimbait: 12lb Seaguar Senshi Flip and Pitch: 20lb Maxima Fluoro Cranks: 12lb McCoy Mean Green Topwater: 10lb Lucky Craft Floating Iron Athlete Spinning: Finesse: 20lb 832 Ghost on one spool and 12lb Suffix Elite on the other Crappie/Trout: 4lb Trilene XL
  21. I haven't seen them anywhere except ebay.
  22. For a rod at that low of a price, I don't see the need for a warranty. I also think it would be a good idea to have an optional warranty on rods.
  23. I had some bad coiling on my last 12lb spool. L&L didn't really help either. It is a nice line though and coiling doesn't really affect baitcasters too much. It is a great price though. I never had it break or fray at all with my use. It's a nice crankbait line but I prefer fluoro now.
  24. Shimano Sahara's are nice. I'd look at the Pflueger Supreme MGX as well.
