  1. Lol, that first fish looks like it'd go over 5 pounds! My fish pics always make the fish look smaller
  2. Regular one, white/chartreuse with one gold blade and one silver.I threw a white mepps some but didn't have any luck
  3. The Pic was the end of the dam and it was the only fish we got near the dam I was hoping to pull a Chris and fill the well with whites. ;-) the rest of our fish were caught between the tournament spot and the stretch from the marina to the campground. Btw Brian's arm was hurt and he couldn't throw a jerkbait allot so he was using a spinner to catch the fish in the pic.
  4. You guys must have been invisible today? I don't think I saw but 2 other boats today. We made it to Melvern about 8am and it was windy and rainy. I caught several fish once we found them. I got hit like a freight train twice and immediately the reel started to peel drag off. I learned this new trick that if you push down on the spool with your thumb you can stop the drag from peeling off, however on both fish this was a nee jerk reaction many due to wearing gloves maybe due to having my head in my... Anyhow I lost a white megabass 110 and a white lucky strike. :-/ both times after I broke off the fish jumped in the air trying to throw the bait. One may have gone 4# but I don't think the other one went 3# my buddy got the Fish of the day a 18.75" 3.11# smallie. This pic doesn't do it any justice.
  5. eBay has great deals on both! Don't get the tournament MG it only has the mag breaks. I have several of the pros and love them!
  6. Watching that sounds about as exciting as watching golf! I don't want to watch them fish (I can do that myself) I want to watch them catch! That said, I don't like the A-rig.
  7. Will it stretch the rattle bands without breaking them? Sometimes my skirt tool (like the one in the photo above) breaks them. If it will work with the rattle bands ill take it as long as the OP doesn't want it...
  8. Another thing, to me a $25 110 that I actually use is a better value than the lower priced baits I've bought and probably will never use.
  9. It should help. I'm also going to say try a jerk bait and a tube. Another thing, go prefish!
  10. I caught a 4.4# smallie the other day and kicked my rod over trying to get the bait out of the fishes mouth/net. Luckily I still had the line/bait so I was able to get the rod back but it was still an "O SHOOT" moment.
  11. Will that work for rattle bands? What do you want for it?
  12. Cool, if it ever stops SNOWING!!!!! Ill have to try that lake out.
  13. Yes, and then after its dry add a small touch of oil. I use stock Shimano oil
  14. I have had the antireverse go out of 2 of my Tps so I called the factory and they are sending me the parts for free! They didn't ask any questions about a receipt or wen they were bought they just wanted my address...
  15. Try a 1/2 oz lure. 1/4 oz with 14# line may be tough... Also try Kvd l&l If it will throw the 1/2 oz without a problem it's probably not 100% the reel. What I'm trying to say is if I am throwing 1/4oz I'm probably going to use my Curado 50e or Core 50 they excel at that...
  16. Pray for a little wind.
  17. Saltwater fish are a lot harder to catch! Especially in Kansas
  18. I think the larger one has #4 on it. Personally, I'd leave them alone and replace them wen they need it so you don't alter the baits ballast. During the tournament I fished a Megabass 110 in French Pearl 95% of the day. If I stop getting hits I'd try something else and other than squeaking another occasional fish out on a deep diving jerk the 110 was what I fished all day. I absolutely LOVE the hooks on the 110s but they make the RC hooks look heavy duty. I like the hooks on the 110 because they are such a thin wire and are ultra sharp that if you are dreaming during the pause and get bit it normally hooks itself before spitting it out. Now on the same note the hooks bend easy and the bait cost $25 so I started setting my drag pretty loose, probably looser than you'd think. MOST of the fish I caught had 2 of the 3 hooks in them, normally down the side of the fish. I think this was due to the loose drag letting the fish swim away and the rest of the bait actually snagging into the fish as it swam away rather than just dragging it in.
  19. Tell us more, what do you have the reel set at? What rod/ line/ bait
  20. As it sets I'd like to get around $4500 I'd sell it without fish finders trolling motor and batteries if you want it cheaper
  21. I found one!!! http://gulfport.craigslist.org/boa/3730171827.html
  22. A 16' Lowe I rebuilt
  23. As of now I don't have anything going tomorrow. Does anyone want to go to Melvern for a few hours in the morning? I'd need to leave by noon. ***Never mind, I have to take the kids to school***
  24. By the way, a BIG thanks to Clayton for setting things up and to Big O for all the GREAT Rage baits and decals, they were very appreciated!
  25. This is a pic of the width of the fish it was WIDE from head to tail!
