  1. I have the new "R" but I haven't got to fish with it yet. It is 8.1 gear ratio and I like that but if your concern is durability I'd say Chronarch.
  2. ^^^ Not to wish a Gator attack on anyone but,
  3. No way, it ain't going to happen. Not with a Snoopy pole and three foot of line! It's a one car garage and it's shoehorned in! My shop is four times bigger but my boat won't fit through the door... (Can't win)I barely had room to install the fish finders. You can try but,
  4. Russell, you could always come over some time. I could turn on the furnace in the garage so we could set in the boat watching TV and drinking Bourbon. I don't live in a trailer park but I can b a redneck!
  5. One car was almost completely destroyed by the fire and the other two were damaged beyond repair. Khamis said no one was injured. It looks like they may define "completely destroyed" differently than we do.
  6. Hey Wayne, do you have a 5 port? I know they have to be hooked up to power but do I need a switch to turn it on or off? Humminbird says the 5-port won't draw any current unless the units are turned on? It looks like to link a I pilot and 2 Humminbirds it's going to cost around $300!
  7. My fault I assumed you just oiled the gears and that's why it was running so free... I have a new Tatula R that I need to clean, I'm not looking forward to it it's not one of my favorite things to do but with hard water it's something to do... Like I need another project.
  8. Good post, I'd like to have one that kills the battery after the charging leads so I can still charge the battery's and not have to worry about something that was left on lake a fishfinder, pump, light... One of my worst (<lol) fears is show up to the lake and have dead batteries.
  9. Humm, I see what the places your making gains and they are great however I like to grease those spots. If I just use oil on the gears by the end of the year they would be out of oil? Or at least I'd think? I'd concentrate on the bearings and and spool shaft that is going to give you your gains in casting Flush your bearings then Add 1 drop of oil and clean the spool shaft and leave it dry. I'll try and find the link to the shimano video it's helpfull to get one tuned up...
  10. What were the whites biting
  11. Did you have to put in at the river?
  12. 1 flip a big jig into the nasty stuff that you know you'll get hung up in. 2 actually take those big expensive swimbaits out of the tacklebox and fish with them! 3 upgrade your electronics and learn how to make them work for you! I'm guessing on #3 I haven't got to use mine yet, but I just dumped over $2500 on them
  13. HO HO HO 154 miles it shall go!
  14. Welcome ZMFish! I've got to say I love the chatterbaits and probably have 50 bags of Elaztek? On the boat! Great stuff!
  15. I thought Trokar was EagleClaw
  16. ^ Jerkbait? I just got a Tatula typeR spooled with braid and a 7'MM rod I'm going to try using braid for jerkbaits...
  17. Isn't that a $3 hook?
  18. You won't save any money if your trying to make the Good stuff. Ingredients like vanilla beans and heavy cream get pricy fairly quick but you can make great ice cream! Make sure you have enough ice on hand
  19. Thanks Wayne, you've been a huge help! Any other tips on initial settings?
  20. I got them all wired up, now if it was only warm enough to go try them out.
  21. I think those 2 would each beat the Kansas state record.
