  1. I enjoyed the first episode last night, and I hope this show continues to build into a good story line. The only problem I can potentially see with this show is that if you aren't pretty familiar with the movies you could get confused very quickly. There were a lot of references and plot points last night that you absolutely would not understand if you haven't seen the movies recently. Luckily for me I was feeling under the weather this weekend so I stayed home and around the football games I was able to watch the first and second terminator movies to refresh myself. Got my wife interested in the show also because she had never watched any of the movies until this weekend.
  2. 30 degree temps, a few inches of rain, high winds, and the chance of large snow accumulation? You know what kind of news coverage that would get here in Missouri. "Well, looks like another round of wintery conditions this weekend, and now here's Len with the sports......" :'(
  3. Definitely the Symetre in the 2500 size.
  4. Okay, I'm late to the party. I got new Ipod classic to replace my broken one, a Shimano Symetre 2500, several Booyah Boogie baits, a new coffee maker, and a $100 Visa gift card. My brother got my son the sweetest Neft 3 in 1 dart gun set, and at one point on Christmas day my dad, brother, son, and I each had a nerf gun enjoying one of the best times you've ever seen.
  5. I think Silva wins the fight against the Iceman. As much as I hate to say it Chuck has looked washed up his last couple of fights. I think he has over extended himself outside the ring, and all his years of partying etc have caught up to him. I wouldn't be shocked if Silva ends it in the second. As for the Hughes vs GSP fight, my heart really want Hughes to win so he can get a shot at Serra after all the smack Serra talked on Ultimate Fighter. I think Hughes will get it done this time, probably on a decision. I am super excited for this ppv. Now if they could just somehow get Fedor.
  6. One thing that I have done with this line that seemed to help was when I am putting the YZUS on the spool I run it through a rag I have dampened with a little bit of line conditioner (reel magic, KVD's, etc.) and then I spray it with a little every couple of times that I go out. I have #8 on my spinning reels, and #12 on my baitcasters and I've not had any problems with memory or the line being stiff. I have switched to Ultra Soft on every rod I have except my flipping stick.
  7. Fenwick Techna AV AVC70MHF.
  8. That is very strange. Must be the same camera malfunction that blocks out the background in every picture you take. :
  9. Funny thing, I don't see any pictures of that bait you created.

Yeah, muddy I still check in on you guys fairly regularly, but I just haven't been moved to post much recently. I've been in a fishing funk since my buddy sold his boat and quit fishing. Hitting up the local ponds is okay from time to time, but it's just not the same. I appreciate you guys thinking about me, and I'm glad to know I was missed by a few (and I'm sure there are few that aren't sad to see me keeping my opinions to myself.)
  11. Look it's more like basball Hawgin I will trade you One Long Mike, a Rish Kid and an Alpster for one Avid oh and to sweeten the deal i will throw in a Mook to be named later You can keep Long Mike if you throw in some "noodles and gravy."
  12. I still have one rod with braid on it, but other than that I am using 100% ultra soft at this point. It is the best line I've used. I spooled my spinning rod with #8 back in Feburary when I went to Fork and I am still using that same line. It has absolutely no memory when in use. It's pretty strong also.
  13. I read the topic of this post and thought we were getting a good deal on an experienced (i.e. old) guy wearing big sunglasses and taking bad pictures. ;D
  14. Why wouldn't you use this as an opportunity to practice making your points clear and precise, and to make your grammer/typing/english even better? Use your hobbies as a opportunity to learn something and improve yourself. If you use the forums as an opportunity to quickly put your thoughts together in a clear and precise manner, imagine how good you could become at doing job interviews. If you develop bad habits when you are just "having fun" they will creep into the time when you are being serious. Developing good habits, even during leisure, makes them come to you easier when you need them to (i.e. tests, homework, jobs, etc.)
  15. Yeah, you're exactly right. Don't pay any attention to grammer, and just learn numbers. As someone who works in the financial industry, you really don't spend 90% of your time in communication with co-workers, brokers, clients, traders, etc. I interview a hundred smart guys like you every year who come in any give me this line about "well I'm really good with math and numbers." I don't care if you have Rain Man's math skills, if you can't communicate intelligently, you're a waste of my time.
  16. I will stick with KU's theory on this one. If I'm close enough to see it's eyes, I'm to d*mn close, and it won't be long until he's getting a good look at my backside.
  17. I am one of those people that believes there is a place for everything, and everything should be in it's place. I use the falcon tackle system so that each type of lure has it's own, neatly organized, easy to find place. I am also the type that only buys lures I know are productive for me. Strike king spinnerbaits, Strike king and Norman cranks, Lucky Craft and Rapala jerkbaits, Cordell super spot lipless cranks, Yamamoto/Zoom/Powerbait/Reaction Innovations for all plastics, Tru Tungsten weights, and until recently only Gammy hooks, but I'm switching over to all Owner hooks as I have to replace them.
  18. I agree with you that a lot of people appear to hate him just because he is good. As for me, I dislike the guy because I'm a Tony Stewart fan, and the two of them have had several run ins with each other over the last few years. I kinda of attribute to this: I'm a KC Chiefs fan, so I have always heard stories about the great Chiefs/Raiders rivalry. In my time as a fan the Chiefs have pretty much dominated the Raiders, and other than one Super Bowl run the Raiders have not done much to trigger me to hate them, but I do. I think the same thing has happened with Gordon. Dale Sr. fans started to dislike Gordon because he came in and started winning races at a pace similar to, or better than Dale. Whenever the new kid comes in and starts performing at a level similar to the aging warrior, the aging warriors fans hate the new guy for stealing away the limelight and the glory. The old guys is forgotten because the of all the attention the new guy on the block gets. After a while, new fans come in and see/hear the war stories, and they pick up the hatred towards (in this case) Gordon, but they can't really tell you why.
  19. Which is exactly why I think it's strange that Hendrick is going to replace him w/Jr. I'm not convinced that Jr is a better driver than Kyle Busch, but he sure does sell a lot more t-shirts, hats, posters, flags, stickers, coffee cups, etc.
  20. I think it's kinda strange really. Junior went from wanting to have complete control over DEI, to third bananna in Hendrick? Seems odd to me. Also, why would Hendrick bring him in? He has not shown a strong ability to consistently win, and I don't think Jeff or Jimmy will want to take a back seat to him. The only thing I can think of with Hendrick, is that they are seeing dollar signs. He is the most marketable driver on the circuit, but beyond that I'm not sure what he brings. Besides that, now Hendrick will probably break ties with Kyle Busch, who is just as good driver as Jr. Something about this whole thing just stinks.
  21. It looks like the pepper cheese you get in one of those beef stick/cheese combo packs you get at a gas station.
  22. I believe Droz from PCU summed it up best: Jeremy Piven (Droz): ... Well, here's all you need to know. Classes, nothing before 11. Beer, its your best friend, you drink a lot of it. Women, you're a freshman, so its pretty much out of the question. Will you have a car? ... Someone on your hall will, find them and make friends with them on the first day ...
  23. I've been using Fenwick rods for quite a while now, and I will put them up against any rod brand. I have used Eagle GT's, HMX's, and now I own several Techna AV's. I have used GLoomis, All Star, and St. Croix, and they are all great rods, but I have been just as satisfied with my Fenwicks. I would put them on the same level as Loomis IMX, but usually at a better price. They are light, strong, and have great sensitivity. Also, I recently snapped off about 8 inches of one of my Techna AV's and I had to pay $55 to get the rod replaced, which I believe is comparable to Loomis replacement policy.
  24. This is the best creature/beaver style bait in my opinion. I usually fish this bait texas rigged with either a 1/8, or 1/4 oz tru tungsten bullet weight. I let it glide to the bottom, and then I fish it like I would a jig. I will drag it on the bottom like a crawfish, and I will also hop it up off the bottom and let it glide back down. These can also be used as a jig trailer. If you buy the smaller 3" I've heard they are pretty good used on a shakey head presentation.
  25. You can take Minnesota out of that list, and definitely add Chicago. I think the Bulls are going to be a force for several years, especially if they are able to land either Jermain O'Neal, Pau Gasol, or more likely Zach Randolph. As for this year, I think the Spurs just have to much talent and experience. Duncan, Parker, Ginnobli, Bowen, etc have all been there before and really know how to work well as a team. Cleveland really needs to add some more talent around LeBron.
