Hobie kayaks are out of my price range haha! I won't spend that much on a kayak. I'm liking the Nucanoe, Ride and Ocean offerings a lot. Now I have a question for you guys. Is a rudder a must have or is it easy to get by without?
I'm looking for a kayak. I want it to be stable and easily fishable. I'm about 6'1" and 230 so it needs to be for a bigger guy. Don't really have a budget, I'll just save up for a little for one if I have to.

I don't own as many as most guys on here. ... yet. But I'm also only 18. I have around 6 now. 4 bait casting and 2 spinning. I can see the benefit of having multiple setups for the same technique. Like have one setup for throwing jigs in thick cover and having a different one for fishing them around rocks, swimming them etc. It's only money haha!!!
Because I'm dedicating most of this spring to learning how to jig fish and I'm thinking the 744 would be killer for that. Pair it up with a Curado I or a ***.
Well I don't have the money to buy both. I have the money for a Champion but if I'm selling myself short by using a Champion then I'll get a DX if it's not worth it I'll get a Champion. I don't want to buy the Champion and then a year down the road say "Hey I should have bought a DX". You know what I mean?
Same thing here. I'm from La Porte Indiana and a spring fed pond I fish at had about 250 or so bluegills around the pond and about a dozen bass. It's pretty sickening.
Hey guys,
I was wondering if the Champion Extremes are REALLY worth the extra $100+? I like the looks of the 734 Champion and the 744 Champion Extreme. Is the 744 worth the extra $100 over the 734?
Thanks Jacob
