The nomenclature with the V-Rods made by Loomis in Washington State was that the "A" stood for Aggressive Taper and the "T" stood for Traditional taper...Thus, the rods fished that way also...I can attest to that truth as I was a collector of these rods and still fish them and collect them...They are only IM-6 graphite rods, but, my god, they are strong and light enough, especially after my handle modifications. They started using the Fuji TCS seats and had no .blank contact. Shortly after, they switched to the ECS seats and had blank contact...Mine are all TCS seats and thus I use them for spinnerbaits, chatter baits, frogs, buzz baits, etc where sensitivity is less important. If your rod should happen to end with an "F", that means it was designed as a Inshore Flats Rod...I have one that is 7 1/2 feet long and quite parabolic. I use it for freshwater live baiting...Good Luck...
