  1. I have had good luck with a 3/8 oz Hack attack heavy cover swim jig. I use the bluegill pattern almost all the time. I have used sexy shad, as well. As far as, trailers go I use a rage menace, and Keitech SIF. I fish it all the time, as a search bait and to cover water.
  2. Zoom speed craw Zoom baby brush hog Rage craw Rage menace grub Senko
  3. I used them last year with great results. I used the 3/8 model, with a keitech swing impact fat trailer. The only problem I found with them is the keeper really tore up the trailers. Bluegill worked especially well.
  4. Look at an iRod gen 2 723c. I own one and throw chatterbaits on it and love it. For $150 you can't go wrong.
  5. I have a 130 in perch. I haven't tried a 90, but the 130 is good size. The 130 will definitely work when there is a chop on the water, and you have to put most other topwaters away.
  6. The 7'4" HF is what I bought last year. Great rod for froggin'.
  7. Look at the Diawa Tatula frog rod. Not that expensive and a great rod. I bought one last year and love it.
  8. I would go with the Lew's, as well.
  9. As others have said the menace is a great swimjig trailer. I have caught fish with it simple T-rigged, as well.
  10. 5lb 11oz on a 130 perch whopper plopper.
  11. Thanks massyak. I was looking at that zako color, too. Also, do you think the rainbow shad color looks similar to the bluegill flash of Keitech?
  12. I was looking at these, as well. I am wondering what color most of you would use for a bluegill swimjig/bladed bait. I usually use a bluegill flash Keitech, or a bluegill menace grub.
  13. Look into an iRod gen 2 723c. I own 2 and they are great rods for chatter baits, and swim jigs.
  14. Last year I bought an iRod Gen 2 stone cold swimjig/bladed jig rod, and I love it. At $150, the price is good. The rod is light, I increased my casting distance and hook-up ratio. Here is a link to check it out. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/iROD_Genesis_II_Series_Casting_Rods/descpage-IRGCT.html I liked it so much that I bought another to through my bladed jigs.
  15. I have both and I prefer the avid. The x is a nice rod, but I like my avid's more.
