Ok, I really need some help here. I do not want to make a mistake, as I am trying to make a decision on which brand and why. My important factors are; -A shaft that won't bend (the reason I am buying a new one) -Easy to us but good feedback on the footpedal -Dependable & reliable What else should I consider, & what are you thoughts on which brand. And please tell me why. I need some assistance here.

I am looking at buying a new Minn Kota trolling motor very soon as I bent the shaft on my Motorguide last year and now it is just too difficult to turn. I am seriously considering one that offers Auto pilot, but may buy one that accepts it and upgrade later to save few bucks now. I also like the idea of the co pilot (wireless control ) so I can operate the motor from anywhere in the boat. A few questions: Have any of you used one of these auto pilot trolling motors and how do they work? Any issues? Is the Minn Kota shaft truly unbendable? I am looking at the lower end of the MinnKota as I only have a 12 volts system. ANy receommendations or points to keep in mind when buying a trolling motor? Thanks guys!

It's carp. Pretty soon here in Northern California they are going to be tearing up the edges of the lakes. They get up in the tules and the just churn up the water, hundreds upon hundreds of them. It seems to throw my bass fishing off as well when they go through this ritual.

I wondered the same. In the webiste there is a FAQ section and it discusses the fact that there are some additional features one can have but are "pay for" type features. Still if you onl need to listen to great music you like, it is a great thing to have.

Thanks, dude! As far as the trolling motor goes, I am thinking an anchor is just to cumbersome sometimes. I would liek to see a trolling motor that keep the boat perfectly positioned where I want it without pivoting off the anchor rope.

OK, I am doing a survey: What needs do you have when fishing that there is no product for on the market. I'll start. (Maybe they are out there but I just don't know) Weedless Octopus hooks for wacky rigging in weedy areas. Trolling motors that can automatically keep you on a spot in a windy day without intervention. (Compensates for wind, drift, etc) Senkos that don't fall apart after about 3-4 fish.

I bought a new 2004 ProHawk180 (bassboat-aluminum), with a 2005 Merc 115hp (4stroke) New a couple of years ago. I love it. No complaints. The only issue I have with it is there doesnt seem to be good place for me to attach a spare tire on the trailer. I looked at all the brackets on the market and couldnt find one to fit without the tire bumping up into the boat. I would have to extend the mount portion out a bit from the frame, but other than that, no complaints!

What I would suggest is a poster with 5-6 pictures on it. The first picture would show a big stringer of bass(like the old days when people were real proud of their stringers of bass), then the next picture would show a stringer with a little fewer bass on it, then the next even fewer, ...down to the last picture, with some poor sucker holding up some little dink. The motto at the bottom could say, "This why we catch and release, Don't be a jerk! Preserve, Protect, Promote!" or something like that. Send the royalties to my house!

This is a great movie! I highly recommend this. If you have any children who just seems like they are "entitled" to an easy life, have them watch the 'Ultimate gift" This should give them a new and different perspective on life. Help them appreciate self initiative and being self reliant.

Yes, one can never give up. To me, when things go wrong, I just strengthen my resolve to Do it next time. PWE, that was a great anlaogy you used. I understand there are quite a few good lakes down around San Diego, so never give up! To increase your odds, buy some senko's.

Just fyi, yes it was because of her sex. She is a woman who ventured into a man;s sport. That is good, not bad. She started racing against boys when she very young with go karts. Regardless of what you say, anyone who achieves her level of career is good. Period. And as far as only 7 cars left....whatever. Must have been a tough race for the other guys, huh! Let's give her some slack here and congratulate her. I know she could outdrive me and probably everyone on this board.
