  1. Istokpoga-has been very rough lately, due to high winds Sunday Nov 8th,had a rather large team event,17.6 won $2500,15.12-2nd-1500,3rd-14.8-$500 winds were blowing at 17 gusting to 29.To give you an idea how tough the fishing has been. The lake was sprayed the week of Oct 20th.It'll be sprayed again Monday-Nov.16th all week.
  2. You might give Mark at Big Toho Marina a call think they have both dry and On the Water storage phone-407-846-2124 located at 101 LakeShore Blvd, Kissimmee,FL which is about 2 blocks to LakeFront Park ramp.If they can't help I'm sure he'll steer you in right direction.
  3. Congratulations, for catching a "Hog" on Tournament day when it counted!!
  4. I'm in the majority here,Struggling. My confidence lake has always been Kissimmee. Least ways till now. Old producers like shell bar by Grassy, outside Grass-line in deep water etc just aren't giving up much if any.Maybe Warmer is on to something.
  5. Warmer sounds like you did DARN good! What exactly is "culling" ha ha ha As for boats going north the gates at Southport are open, causing a current at lower end canals.Maybe the "running water" pattern was "ON." I'll be out there this weekend. Not looking forward to muddy water caused by high wind yesterday, today, through Tuesday . 13LBS!! I'll take it
  6. Oppss Thanks Rondef wasn't aware of that. RW or Glenn feel free to remove link, won't happen again. Thanks
  7. Right you are Rolo.!Finished 5th out of 48 boats a couple weeks or so back, fishing offshore hydrilla. Went back last week couldn't buy a bite.Same place that had produced 2-3 times previously. Go figure.
  8. Fished a tournament out of Camp Mack,Saturday 22,had 78 boats.Water temp was 65 at 7:30 take -off,cloudy,light wind-NNE.We went to Cypress. Flipping buggy whips,(where partner weighed in 18+ in Extreme event last Sunday).Right off, second or third cast a 13&3'4" partner caught 13.5" We caught a bunch around that ALMOST KEEPER size. Finally 2 keepers and a few lost ones.Stayed here till 11:30,made a change to Philadelphia Point. Flipping more pads.Water temp was up to 69,raining,etc.Caught 4 fish here but only 1 keeper. Stayed here till weigh-in.Total 3 fish- 5.00lbs, even. Top weight-19+,2nd 18.Nine places paid-12lbs got a check.Big Bass-I think was 7.65 for $1440.00.This was the only fish that team caught. ;D I'll verify the above info after the results are posted later in month.
  9. Last year my partner/wife and I finished 2nd in a Cracker Boys tournament(89 boats) with 3 fish for 14.30 (1st had 25lbs.3rd was just under 14.30.)in a boat trail. We've gone back to that spot under similar conditions to no avail. The only change is the water clarity, much more clear. Thus tougher I recken.I'll also confess,no one better laugh either, all I did was net.
  10. East Lake is very tough.Tampa Pro had 52 boats Sunday March 2nd. Winners-4 fish-9.75, 2nd 9.47 including BB of 3.93,3rd 5-8.92,4th 5-8.91 5th(last money place)7.80.The water is very clear you're able to see the bottom in 4-5 feet.It was also semi windy slight white capping.
  11. I gotta ask this:Josey Wales as in the Outlaw? Mr. Chain Blue Lightning "his self"? "Move slows so I can count the hairs on that hand"Mr.Josey Wales, move slow like "lasses" in winter time. You boys gonna pull them pistols or whistle Dixie?" All time favorite movie next to Good Bad & Ugly.No offense meant if that really is your given name.
  12. Greetings, the spawn is still going on,roughly from Jan-April.This week the wind is howling,20-25 gusting to over 35.Which means the water will be dirty. You have a choice of 2 public ramps:101 Lakeshore Blvd,in downtown Kissimmee on the north side where FLW and B.A.S.S take off. Think it has 6 double ramps. On the south end,(called Southport) you have 3 double ramps. So depending where you want to go North or South, you have a ramp close by.As for where to start check out "theledger.com" under sports-outdoors you'll find a section called "fishing around Polk county"this;ll tell you where, outside grassline etc.
  13. Great job Alger319!!!,Culling? What does that mean and how does one do such? ;D In case you didn't notice you have a message and AOL mail.
  14. Fished a benefit tournament out of Camp Mack Saturday-48 boats.Water temp at take off 7 AM-60.The highest was 66 at 1:30 Pm.12 + won,11 and change took 2nd.My buddy had 1 fish -10.44 good enough for 3rd & Big Bass.We were in the same area, caught bucks all day.The fish hit close to weigh-in time which was 2PM.I think the warmer water temp was a factor.
  15. Mavrik here's some directions: A six-lane boat ramp with a floating courtesy dock is located on Lakeshore Blvd. From the intersection of Highway 192 and Highway 441/17-92 in Kissimmee, travel south on Main Street 0.6 mile to Monument Avenue. Turn left onto Monument Avenue and follow to Lakeshore Blvd. Turn right on Lakeshore and follow 0.3 miles to ramp on left.
