  1. paris tn is a good area for fishing and other outdoor activities land between the lakes is great also consider eastern tn close to the mountains a ton of lakes here as well
  2. bluebasser yeah those are wicked looking clouds right there in your series of pics. definitely better to play it safe than sorry. i would've been asking for warp drive out of my engines to get off of the water.
  3. i learned how to bass fish on my own. my dad left the family when i was still very young. my mom would take me to the lake/pond/river from time to time. always used to go crappie fishing. then in high school i was fortunate enough to have a few relatives who had some killer farm ponds. bass fishing farm ponds with top water baits is what got me started and i haven't stopped since. i'm good with top water stuff minus the floating stick type baits and walking the dog. can never tell if the rod movement is right or not. learning more all of the time on what works and what doesn't.
  4. thank you. hoping it's fishable from the shoreline this weekend. will be up that way waiting on a load out of the area for work.
  5. to resize pictures you'll need an image editor software program such as photoshop or another.. link to cnet's collection of image editing software you can't post pictures directly from your computer to these boards those pictures must be online somewhere first. to post pictures to these forums, click on the insert picture icon, 3rd from the left of the smiley face. a popup will show and it will ask you to input the web address of the picture. if you don't know the web address of a picture, right click your mouse on the picture and select properties. highlight and copy it's web address from that. come back to this forum and paste or hit ctrl V in the popup for inserting a picture into a post here
  6. beautiful picture doesn't even look real. but you can see true power right there
  7. new to this forum, but have had wet lines pretty much my entire life. originally from the parkersburg, west virginia area and love to get home as often as i can. currently living south of maryville, tn i do expedited shipping for work so i travel all over the place and always keep 2 rods and tackle with me in my truck. enjoy trout fishing but mostly i hunt for bass both large and small, will also from time to time sit on the ohio river bank with family and go after the catfish. tight lines
  8. will be getting a chance to fish this lake a lil bit here later this week. it's one of the lakes in cabela's million dollar fishing contest. how many of you have fished this lake. i won't have a boat to really get access to the entire lake but will be hiking and fishing from the bank. is it still being affected from the weather lake levels up higher than normal? any tips on what the bass in this lake like to hit on the most?
  9. thankfully i work all over the nation. dont' know why you wouldn't be allowed to say the name of cabela's though. last week i hit both rend lake and carlyle lake in illinois caught several there in carlyle but had absolutely zero luck on rend lake
