  1. Awesome Day! Great Fish! Makes me wanna go tomorrow morning - ice and snow storm in the forcast - better rethink that one!
  2. Glad to hear your back in the game! Your abstract picture taking ability can only be compared to Spielberg - Awesome! I hope you realize Avid spelled backwards is Diva - Bassresource's very own Diva! Wow Stay Healthy and Party on my Friend!
  3. Fat Ika 5" Senko Fluke More Ikas
  4. Mine is just the opposite of Fourbizzle - I would like 10 over 5 since 5 over 10 is just be a dream for most of us in New England (except for LB Hooker)! And one more over 6.6 to beat my PB.
  5. Baby Bass Senkos have been very productive for my partner. I prefer black w/blue or green pumpkin, but many times I've switched to baby bass when he starts killin em.
  6. 5 inch swimming senko.
  7. I only use the 4 inch when the water is cold and fish are sluggish with a 2/0 red EW Gammy. I've read many articles about down sizing when the water is a bit colder - seems to work - but I do prefer 5 inch with a 3/0 red EW Gammy.
  8. In New England a 5 or 6 lb Largemouth is considered a pretty big fish and is always a thrill to catch! I can't even imagine catching fish twice as big - that's incredible! Those fish are crazy nice. I think that 10.2 is a female fish - very curvy! Thanks for the great pictures and making us drool.
  9. Awesome Fish! Great picture of your son! You let her go, new to fishing, and a PB - Now that's Priceless!
  10. Isn't that the guy you told me about that drinks at least 12 beers a day and use to take the short bus to school!
  11. Another Great Job! Did you have to edit miles of film - it seemed like you were taping even before you had a fish on. Great Stuff Russ!
  12. Russ - Did you get that order of 5 to 10 lb large Mouth Bass Decoys you ordered from Bass-O-Rama? That one your holding sure looks like one. Sorry Man - Couldn't help myself - Great job as always and I can't wait to hook up with you again in the Spring! Low Budget Bend awaits you. By the way, the next time you come down, I will have an orange buoy marker from Havad for you signed by all your friends from the girl's camp.
  13. Always 10 feet or less usually less. Once I get over 20 feet, I don't have a clue. One of the times I went out with LBH I caught a 4 lber in 20 feet of water because he wanted to fish the area, so maybe I should try it more. Everyone knows how important confidence is and in 20 feet I have none!
  14. Played golf for 30 years before getting back into Bassin. Favorite Golf Coarse is Redtail.
  15. Avid - I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time, but it sure is now! Great story. Liquid - 2 1/2 lber jump in the boat - Priceless!
  16. What was the weirdest thing that happened to you this year? Mine happened while fishing with my favorite Hooker - Low Budget that is. He got me out at 3:30 A.M. one morning and while using a Jitterbug, an owl swooped down over my shoulder and hit the jitterbug (twice) thankfully, she missed both times.
  17. Fishbear - I'm with you on the Spinnerbait - I'd hate to say how many casts I've made with those things with almost no success. Fat Ika is my go to bait as well.
  18. I caught one of my biggest bass earlier this year answering my cell phone. I had just thrown my favorite bait, Fat Eeeeeeeka, when my cell phone rang. I put my rod down for a minute while on the phone and whamo. It proves to me that I fish soft plastics toooo fast.
  19. RW - That's true, but most people don't have that in their profile. I was thinking more in the lines when starting a new thread where you have to put a subject if you also had to put a state or location, it would come up right next to the subject. Easily identified.
  20. It is probably too difficult to do, but wouldn't it be great if you could see what part of the country the person was from asking the question? Maybe under his/her avatar or maybe at the end of the subject. I say this because a lot of times when you are reading about various presentations, tactics, colors etc., they are not from your part of the country and may not apply. Clear water vs stained, muddy etc. Water temps in the south vs the north. If we could see (right away) where the person was from, we might be able to relate a little better and be more interested in that particular article. Just a thought - Don't get me wrong, this isn't a complaint - this sight is the best and has helped me tremendously!
  21. Boat Traffic, Water Skiers and Jet skies!
  22. 90% of the Fish are in 10% of the Water! Unfortunately I'm usually in the other 90% of the Water. Where is that other 10%?
  23. As the Fall and cooler temps roll in, alot is said about fishing creek channels. It is said the bass will move into shallower water following the shad into the back of coves and creek channels. Do all ponds and lakes have creek channels? How do you find them? Is this just where you might see a stream or run off entering the pond? Are they something you find with sonar? I'm sure this is a rookie question, but any help about where to find creek channels would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance!
  24. Went out Saturday morning with very little luck - tried everything. Around noon time in some pads I tried a white Sizemic frog with a 5/0 EWG Gammy - seems to fit perfectly. Only reason I tried it was because of a post I read here about using topwaters in the middle of the day. I must have had 7 or 8 blow ups and not a single hook up. I suppose they could have been smaller than I thought, but several of those hits looked awful good. I didn't try to set the hook early and waited to feel the rod load up - it never did. Oh well, it was fun tryin - maybe next time!
  25. For me it depends on where I go. I have one place I go most of the time that gets very little fishing pressure (because they charge $25 boat launch fee). Fortunately I met someone on the lake and don't have to pay. It is loaded with bass and I know every inch of it and most of the honey holes. This Saturday we caught about 20, 4 over 3 lbs. We get spoiled there and usually catch between 15 and 25. I took LBH there and I had to name a section of the lake after him beacuse he caught so many and a 5.4 Now, bring me somewhere else and it's a whole different story. I'm happy to catch 3 or 4.
