I have a Minn Kota 3 bank charger which works great. They also have a 2 bank, but I have a 24 volt trolling motor. I pd around $200 for it new. When you plug it in the 3 lights on the charger (one for each battery) are usually yellow (need charging) when they are all charged up they turn green. It automatically shuts off. Good luck!
I don't use shiners either but I can't believe the prices I've been seeing 12 to 15 dollars a dozen. Wow! I live in MA and shiners are $3.50 a dozen here. I'll have to send you guys some!
I live in New England and just got to fish yesterday for the first time. I used a 5 inch watermelon senko with no luck. I switched to a 4 inch white senko with black specs and caught six all keepers. I guess slow and small might be good advice. Good luck!
Was bass fishing on a small pond in a canoe by myself. I leaned a little to far to the right to release a fish. A split second later I was upside down. It was the first time I ever heard a Large mouth laugh!
Went to a class this week end and heard a tip I thought was quite good. He said when the bedding bass aren't touching a thing, tie your texas rigged worm in a knot and throw it in the bed. After a few seconds the worm will come undone in a jumping sort of motion. If you tie one and just sit in on a table, you'll see what he meant. Whatever works right!
I had the same problem with my 93 Nitro. For me it was a new steering cable. One local Marina wanted $375 and another $210 installed. Do yourself a favor and check around, a cable is a cable the way I look at it.
I've never even seen an owl in the wild!
Last summer I was in my boat and it sounded like someone threw a boulder in the water behind me. Two beavers started circling my boat slamming their tails down as they went by. I couldn't believe the noise they could make with their tails. Guess they didn't want me there!
If you are in a part of the lake that looks perfect for bass, but you aren't catching anything on your spinnerbait. Do you switch to a plastic, then to a crankbait or something else, or do you just move to another spot. Just curious what you guys do. Thanks
I'm from Leominster, MA about 40 miles west of Boston. Just got back into fishing last fall after 25 years of golf. I bought a 10 year old Nitro and can't wait to get at it.
Last fall I bought a boat and started fishing again. My buddy used a senko and caught a 4 1/2 lb largemouth. That's the best advertising I know of. I had a bunch of them the next day.
I'm looking to buy a fish finder. I've been looking at the Lowrance X-135. Does anyone have this particular model or any opinion. I don't want to get crazy with the cost.
Went to my brother in laws house to do a little fishin in his canoe. I went out by myself and was doing pretty good. I was about as far away from his house as I could be when I caught this Largemouth. I leaned a little too far over to one side to release him. The next thing I knew I was upside down. That is the last time I will fish in a canoe!
