When i weigh my fish, I always carefully put the hook from the scale in the gills. Am I hurting the fish? I see a lot of guys just punch a hole through the fish's lip to weigh it. That seems kind of cruel. I'm just looking for the proper way to weigh a fish without hurting it.

That's just Rude - Period. It doesn't matter who owns the water - the fact is you were sitting there. Hello, a little coutesy please! I fish docks every time I go out - if someone is on their dock, I never go right up to it and start fishing. I just keep moving to the next dock.

I just put Sirius radio in the boat - love to listen to music and I think the fish aren't bothered by it. When the bite is slow and it's a long day, it's nice to have some good music or listen to some blue collar comics.

I bought a cheap soldering iron and it works great to repair torn senkos. Just gently touch the two sides of the tear and put it back together. With a little practice it is very easy. BPS sells yamamoto senkos for 8 bucks a bag - is that a joke or what. Tackle warehouse sells them for 6. Price is getting out of hand, but I love to use them. Fix em up yourself, throw on a little scent - save a ton of money.

How do you tie the hook on the line so it is facing upright in the correct position?

I have 3 Stradics - just sent them out to be serviced this winter - one works great and very quiet - the other two make noise when I'm reeling. Strangely, before I string the line through the eyelets, it make no noise when reeling. As soon as I make the first cast, the noise (rubbing, fluttering type noise) starts. I use 6lb Yozuri ultra soft, can't figure it out. Anyone else have this problem. Thanks in Advance - Bill

I just ordered an STX for Tackle Warehouse and they were in stock. They said 6 weeks for glasses. Only heard great things about the glasses. I have Smith Optics Guide Wear glasses in copper and they are outstanding.

Does anyone have a non traditioal pro seat in the front of their boat? I'm looking for something a bit more comfortable. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.

I like the 3X as well. I found one of the best shakey heads for these is the Gamakatsu Skip Gap Shakey Head. It goes on very easy and stays on, no fighting with the worm. I found them at Tackle Warehouse.

My sunglasses are at the bottom of my favorite pond and I'm looking for a new pair. I would like to get one pair with one colored lens that would work in most situations. I fish in a shallow pond, relatively clear water, with many large rocks. Don't want to break the bank too much. Any suggestions!

I just got Verizon Fios a few weeks ago which has the Fishing Network and the very first show I saw was Lunkerville. I thought I recognized the other guy in the red boat, and who would have imagined, it was Low Budget Hooker! That was Awesome! If you were fishing a new body of water and had no electronics, maps etc. and could only bring 3 baits, what might they be.

I have 4 Cumaras - 2 spinning, 2 baitcasters - great price - great warranty - great sensitivity - light as a feather!

BPS is finally carring it. I only use 6 lb test on spinning gear - In New England a 6LB fish is pretty good - got plenty 4's and 5's and only one six and never broke one off with 6 LB test. The stuff is great, it's hard to break the line when you get hung up.

It has been said that fishing a couple days before a "Front" is great and the day after is bad. What actually is a Front. Is it a big temp change (higher or lower) heavy rain on the way etc?

Most of my spools hold around 100 yards of line. I like to change the line often during the season. Is there any way to put less line on the spool because at least the first 50 yards is wasted. Putting on cheaper line first and tieing a knot is kind of a pain to do. Does anyone have a way of putting something else on the spool to take up space, tape etc.? Thanks in Advance.

I would like to sit down with Charlie Moore and ask him how in the world he continues to have a show catching all those shorts and annoying all that watch. Everytime I turn that show on, I have to turn it off before it's over. He thinks he is a fisherman, comedian, actor etc. To me, he's none of those.

The Charllie Moore Show will finally be cancelled because he hasn't caught a LMB over 2 LBS in three years.

That would be the prettiest fish in the world if it were caught in New England! We don't catch em that big here. Still over nine pounds -Sweet!
