  1. My guess is it was just a big bass.
  2. The line broke right above my reel actually. Also not a pike since where I fish they only stock bream, catfish, and bass. Wasn't a rock.
  3. My line didn't have any nicks or frays and it didn't break at the knot.
  4. Hi, can a 2-4 lb bass break a 10lb test line? Thanks, LWD
  5. I got addicted a few months ago and still haven't came down. Thanks to this site I can stay knowledgeable.
  6. c-rig Zoom June bug lizard
  7. Hi is it possible to catch the same bass you just caught if you cast back to the same area or do they smarten up for awhile? Thanks, LWD
  8. Hey FL_Sharpshooter thanks for the advice.
  9. cool thanks for the tip jignfule
  10. Okay I got it thanks a lot Bass_Fanatic!
  11. Hey Bass_Fanatic thank you man for your insight. I wanted to know if jig+trailers are for catching bigger bass rather than the smaller ones.
  12. Hi, I recently fished a strike king bleeding hook jig with a yum crawdad trailer and am unsure if it is working on small bass. Can it work on bass in the 10 inch size range or should I be using a c-rig 6" June bug lizard? Curious... Thanks, LWD
  13. Hooked_on_bass thanx! Grey Wolf my fault I tend to do that a lot.
  14. There's this bait shop in town if you walk inside on one wall it has numerous mounted trophy bass on it. Supposedly they all come from this same lake. However this lake has gotten bad reviews too like people not getting any bites and people calling it 'muck' pond. It has a $5 boat charge that some folks find ridiculous. It keeps a lot of folks out so it may have a lot of quality bass in there. Even if I do get skunked I'd figure the lake was being managed for lunker bass as opposed to many of them. Have a good one.
  15. Hello, How much time usually transpires after you catch a bass before you catch your next one? Have you ever caught them back to back the very next cast?
  16. Pelican Apex 100 Fade Kayak looks alright. You can customize your own rod holders, fish finder mount, paddle holder, and anchor trolley. I bought a 9.5ft and it tracks fair enough. I don't see how fishing from an 8ft would be too much of a problem.
  17. Ok thanks fishing rhino for shedding a bit of light on the subject. I didn't know accurately what I wanted to ask but was curious about thinking with the fish finder. I use a kayak and I don't have marker buoys. So if I am paddling forward and receive an echo I should cast behind me? thanx
  18. Hope y'all had some good fishing today. I'm out there on the lake using my $50 fish finder to locate the bass. I'm trying to float over some of them. Nothing shows up. Do I drop my line right over top where I located the fish on the finder, meaning I don't have to cast out 15ft just drop it where I located them? Hard to know which direction to cast and how far. If you have any insight it may be really helpful. I thank y'all for reading and have a good evening. LWD
  19. could be.. next trip I'll be aware of it.
  20. weather.com's map is better than accuweathers map more sophisticated imo
  21. lol maybe that's all it took a split second distraction. GL on the next one.
  22. Thanx guys, wow look at that pic. Only if they had bigger mouths. That's amazing.
  23. gosh darn I forgot to consider that
  24. Hi I'd like to share with you a story about a fish I missed last night. It yanked for a steady three seconds but got away. Went to look at the senko didn't have any scratches on it. How did it yank so long without getting hooked? Any guesses? Wish I knew how to deal with those types of bites. I loosened my drag I don't think it was working. Any tips could be helpful. Thanx
  25. Hi when bass fishermen are asked about the bass in a lake and they say few and far between is that lake still worth fishing?
