  1. deaknh03, on April 10 2012 - 11:57 AM, said: You bring a boat? .......................... This was from the other thread so i'll answer it here. Yes I do bring a boat deak. We usually bring a canoe, kayak or Jon boat, no motor. Anything bigger than that and you will bottom out. Like I said the place is pretty shallow.
  2. I am so sick of so many of these small ponds/lakes (Bass Gems) being all private. When is NHF&G or the state of NH going to start buying small pieces of land and building more launch sites. I have so many awesome bass fisheries around me but can't excess them because they are all private.
  3. It has one house on the left of it. I never had a problem with any of the people that live there.
  4. Worlds End is very shallow but has some good size Bass in it. If you don't hit it before June it's not worth it because the weeds take over. There is an excess point (car top) off of Theresa Ave. in Salem. As for Beaver Lake, I agree. I live a minute up the street from it and have been there many times with no luck at all. They do stock it with trout but it gets fished out pretty quick.
  5. Made it out to World End Pond yesterday morning for 3 hours with not one bite. This cool air is taking it's toll on the fishing. I then figured I had more time left so I took a trip to Beaver brook in Derry and still, nothing. After a few hours at Beaver Brook I hooked into a few Fall Fish (suckers). Disappointing day for fishing but I was just happy to be out on the water again. Hopefully we get some warmer weather soon to get the fish going.
  6. I'm hoping to hit Island Pond this weekend. Heard it's suppose to be in the low 70s and sunny. I'll post if I get anything.
  7. WOW! those are some nice looking hawgs. Wtg on the awesome catch guys.
  8. From experience I would say that they come back to shallow water when the (water) temp hits around 65 degrees and lower.
  9. I went out yesterday to a few places and caught nothing. Tried Beaver Lake in Derry - nothing, Lake Massabesic in auburn - nothing, and Tower hill Pond in Candia and nothing. I used top water, spinner baits, plastic worms/minnows and still nothing. Maybe it was the wind or maybe it was the heat not sure.
  10. Wow, that smallmouth is a beauty. How heavy was she?
  11. They can get that big around here. My PB is a 7.8lb in Nashua River. I've also caught several 5-6 pounders around this area through the years. My son hooked into an 8lb Bass last year out of Island Pond. So I do believe the kid.
  12. You can dock a small boat/canoe in it to get out to the larger upper part but you would need to carry it over a small dam in the back. I've heard the upper part has bigger and more bass than the lower part (near 102). It is definitely a good place to take kids (I take my daughter there) because it has a ton of sunfish and perch to catch. I've caught lots of pickeral there and a few bass. The bass were small, between 1/2 and 1lb. It is a very good place to fish from shore seeing it is small. It has a trail on both sides you can walk, but the one on the right side is better because you can walk to the upper part. You can also get out back of the upper part if you take Warner Hill Rd and park at the old rail road bed and walk for about 1/4 mile.
  13. Ballards is on 102 (Island Pond Rd) going towards Hampstead. It is the pond at the old saw mill, which is now a landmark.
  14. Hi guys, as you can see i'm new to the forum. Wanted to know if anyone had any advice on good Bass fishing spots in or around the Derry,NH area. I have tried Massabesic with no results, Ballard pond on 102 with a few small LM. I've tried the small streams coming out of Island pond with a few good size but they were few and far between. Other than those places I haven't tried many others in the area seeing i'm new to it. Any advice would be much appreciated.
  15. If you travel west on route 112 past North Woodstock center you come to a lake called Beaver Lake that has some very good trout fishing. also try the Pemi river as well as Profile and echo lakes in the area.
