With so many diffrent types of line on the market today I have no idea which is the best. Any ideas? I looking for the best. I am using a Abu Garcia Revo SX-HS reel on a Abu Garcia Vendetta Rod,MH 7FT. Will only be fishing plastic worms with this setup

I am just getting back into bass fishing after a few years. I have never had to buy anything because My dad bought everything and he passed away about 5 years ago now and I am lost. I am fishing 6" plastic worms and I have no idea what size or style hooks or sinkers to buy. I have seen the new style hooks with the weight added on the hook but again I have no idea what I should get. I do know i use the Texas Rig(at least i remember how he tought me this) Any information would be great.

I just bought a new DAIWA MEGAFORCE BAITCAST REEL Model MF100TSH off of ebay but it didnt come with any of the paperwork and I have no idea how to put line on it or anything. Can anyone help me out here. Also is there any I need to set on this? This is my first baitcaster reel so I have no idea what needs to be done.

I am wanting to get back into fishing some after being away from it for about 5 years now. My dad and I fished all the time while I was growing up and he passed away about 5 years ago now and I am lost when it comes to rod and reels and line. I grew up using a zebco 33 and Thats all I know how to use(just mash the button and let it cast I am wanting something nicer and better. I will be fishing for bass and channel catfish. I will be fishing out of a boat as well as on the bank. I will be fishing in a private lake. I will be using plastic worms and chicken liver. I have been looking at the Daiwa Exceler 100SH 100 SH 7.1:1 Baitcast Reel and the Bass Pro Shops Bionic Blade XPS Trigger Rod - BCB70MHT-2 but I am not sure if these are a good fit for what I want. Also I have never used a reel like this. Does it work like the zebco Im use to? I guess Im asking will I have a hard time learning how to cast with this without having backlash? please any info or help would be grat here. Last thing what will be the best line to use as well? I know I should have more than one rod and reel but as little as I fish I would just like to spend my money on one good one that will fit my needs for now and then down the line buy another.
