I've been using the Yamamoto Kreatures for a couple of years now. I fish very heavy pressured city lakes and they work great for me!I normally throw them Texas rigged using an Owner 4/0 twistlock and an 1/8 or 3/16 tungsten weight depending on what the bass want. My best colors are black with blue and green pumpkin.

Just watched the current Jarrett Edwards Outdoors and he showed a little trick on line twist. He basically pulled out some line and showed how the line gets line twist when a fish is pulling drag (the drag causes the line to get hot). Then said by allowing your reel to back reel instead of using your drag will help eliminate the problem. Of course u need to fill your spool the right way. Haven't tried it, but u might check it out.

If you are targeting largemouth bass and use Robo Worms or other finesse worms, I would go with Size 2 . I've used them in the past and they really do work, but I don't like having to tie on another line for the lower section or for the weight.

I've been using the Powell Diesel spinning rod with a Shimano 2500 & 6 lb flouro for dropshot and I really like it. It's lighter than I expected and it has good sensitivity. I'm definitely going to check out some of Powell's other rods in the future.

I've been able to use an extra 10% discount code in addition to a sale price at TW.
You can always add the product to the shopping cart and check the code discount. Like the others said, give TW a call!

I don't try to get my spouse into fishing. I have taken her to our local city lake before when I bring our little ones fishing, and we've gone to some big lakes together. I think when our youngest (5 month old) gets older, we will definitely do some family fishing trips.

Congrats JT on your 10 years at Yamamoto!
I fish a few hi-pressured city lakes in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. Fat Ika's, 5" Senkos, Flappin Hogs, and Kreatures have been my go to's!
As the others said, it would be awesome if Yamamoto Baits became a site sponsor!

I'm a propmaker (set carpenter) in the IATSE Local 44 Hollywood, CA and I build sets for the movie and tv industry. Have worked on movies like Transformers, Iron Man, Thor, Spiderman and tv shows like CSI Miami, CSI NY, and The Voice too name a few.

I've been using the Powell Diesel spinning rod since mid summer 12 and really like it. I've been using it for drop shots, flick shake, and texas rigged plastics.

El Dorado is a very tough lake, You just gotta try it frequently to know what's working. I haven't been there in the last month, but you can generally get bit on the drop shot or reaction baits.
