  1. Good Idea Bass-Brat. It's posted in the Flea Market. Thanks
  2. Bear, I know of tinboats and posted it this morning, thanks. As for what I have in it; I have invested close to $4500 not including labor. Thanks for the tips.
  3. Hello everyone. I was hoping to get some advice. I'm moving from a house sits on a 40 acre pond/lake to a new one that is not water front. I need to sell my 2005 Grizzly 1448 that I built but I have no idea what I could ask for it. It doesn't have a gas engine or trailer. I've included a few pics for you to evaluate. The pics are from when the boat was first built but it still looks good. Thanks for the help. It has the following: All aluminum front deck extension, back lid & center floor section (NO WOOD) Foot control Motorglide Storage box Fish finder On board two bank battery charger Two new gel batteries CD/FM stereo ON/OFF switch for batteries Digital Battery gauge Shore power hook-up And much more... 4. I used a Boga Grip to weigh him.
  5. Thanks guys. I caught him on a Rapala X-Rap SXR-8 with a olive green top and siver on the belly. The line was 10lb test Power Pro and it has upgraded Owner #6 hooks because I've had fish smaller than this one get away because they tear the stock hooks apart.
  6. That's it. Thank you.
  7. Anyone see the commercial with a guy using a soft plastic swimbait that he stretches 3-4 feet? I've looked through all my TIVO's and can't find it. I need a soft plastic swimbait thats going to last. The ones I've been using only last a couple of fish. Thanks for the help.
  8. Good job. I remember when mine would fall asleep on me.
  9. Thanks guys. I'm still pinching myself
  10. This morning I headed out with forum member, SE_FL_BassAddict (Robert). The morning started off good and then slowed down for about 45 minutes. We started to make our way to deeper water when I ran a Sexy Shad (rattle trap style) by a X-Mas tree that's sitting right off a drop off and that's when it hit. I remember Robert saying "don't freak out but that's a big fish". With Robert's help I landed this 7 and a half pounder. This is my PB. Then, about 50 minutes later I get hit by a nice bass that when she jumped, she spit out my Sexy Shad Square bill shallow runner. I was heart broken. Robert told me to take a moment . On my very next cast, I cast to the same spot anb Bam another big hit. I was able to land it this time. A new PB for me (8lbs). If you guys ever get a chance to fish with Robert, he's a really cool guy and he know's his stuff. Robert, thanks for coming out.
  11. Thanks guys.
  12. I live south of Ft. Lauderdale and I was just wondering if LM living so far down south go through the same paterns that the rest of the country go through. As some of you guys know, down here we have summer and thats it. Should I work the paterns the way are friends up north treat these paterns? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
  13. Thanks guys. I'm going to start deconstruction this weekend. I'll keep you guys posted.
  14. Anyone ever cut the legnth on a TM shaft. I have a 1448 Grizzly and the shaft sticks out way too much and I want to cut it down.
  15. Thanks guys.
  16. About a month or two ago I started to notice large spawning beds on my pond. From what I can tell, they were full of Blue Gills. I never saw the Lm on the beds but I did catch a few just of the beds in deeper water. On this one bed that has about 50-80 individual beds, there was about a few hundred Blue Gills at any given time. I went out yesterday and didn't see any activity on that bed and the beds were dirty. It looked like a ghost town. Without knowing much else, would you think that this bed was first used by the LM then the BG moved in or will the LM use this bed now that the BG are gone? Let me know if more information is needed. Thanks
  17. Thanks guys and no I don't know if he was caught before.
  18. I was at Coral Reef Park (South Miami) about three weeks ago with the family. I was walking around when I saw this huge Peacock floating on it's side. I thought, what a shame. I kept on walking down the canal and on my way back I'm looking at this fish when I see one of its gills move. I go into "I have to save this fish mode". I run down the bank and wait for the wind to blow it my way. I snap a couple of pictures and I start trying to revive it. It took me about 15 minutes but I was able to get it to swim off. I watched it for a while and the last I saw of it, it was swimming towards deeper water. Before this Peacock my PB was 3.5 lbs. I'm thinking this fish was at least 8lbs.
  19. Thanks guys. We couldn't believe it when it happened. Here's something extra to the story. The LM was a fish that I tagged in December of last year. You can see the tag in the picture. The Peacock was tagged after the photo.
  20. These fish were caught at the same time on one lure. From what I can gather I think the LM had the Spook Puppy first and then the Peacock tride to take it from him. I've caught two fish on one lure before but never two this size. What makes it even better is that one is a LM and the other a Peacock. The LM was 4lbs and the Peacock was 3lbs. I also caugth a 4.5 lb LM and another 3 lb Peacock this morning.
  21. I bought mine here and I am very happy with thier service and the prices are great. http://www.overtons.com/modperl/overtons/boatcover/bc_refine.cgi

  23. I'm going old school but if information is what you want, Bill Dance is the man. Not the most exciting but full of info.
  24. LBH, It's been great to me. I do take care of it with a cover. The carpet is as strong as ever. Thing year I'm going to add a couple of rod holder for the front and maybe some decals like yours. "Daddy's Blue Boat", it's what my kids call it. ;D
