  1. I'm with you on this one. Catching fish on artificals!
  2. Yea,this is the coldest rain infested place I have ever been. Port Orchard, Wa. I can't believe how good the bas fishing is here.
  3. How dose a guy keep the line from spooling up more on one side of spool? It looks like a high point on the right side and slopes down to the left side.
  4. Change hooks, there are many out there. I never have this problem with keeper hooks. I'm using 65 lb power pro Double polomar is very good knot and as the moore knot.
  5. With muddy water there are many flash baits to use but I would try top water, Snake,Frog,Spook. Fish can't see as far so make some noise on top. The fish are more than likely still spawning and some are done so fish the bedding areas working the shore line all the way to your boat. Also try a jig the same color as the water or the bottom of the Lk with matching trailers.
  6. On big fish they can just hold the bait in there mouth and spit it out with a jump. What every one has said is right, but I always set the hook more than once with a big fish. She might not be hooked!
  7. 7 even, thats a nice pig good job on your catch. I would have said 7-7.5 only because the tip of the index finger is about an inch to the first nuckle. I was counting the length of the fish. I guss 20-21 inches long.
  8. Could it be a trickle charger ?
  9. I would stick with the jig but try adding two trailers in stead of one.
  10. I'm new to the site, not fishing. Grew up in Pensacola,Fl. Started fishing with my dad at the age of 7 for bluegill & shellcracker. One day I was fishing in a local lk in Pensacola I think it was '76 age 11 when a guy in a bass boat gave me a 3.5 LMB. He told me to use a broke back repala slow on top, thats all it took. Hooked on bass fishing ever since. I lost the lure after an hour bank fishing it with a cane pole. The PB bass was caught in Santa Rosa Co.Fl on a 7.5 black culprit worm in '89 she weigh 14.4 lbs and the 3rd cast after that a 10.3 on the same bait. That was my best day on the water with 36 bass caught. Half were over 4 lbs. My lure of choice is the jig and the trusted culprit now in the 10-12 inch length. A fan of the LSU fighting tigers, New Orleans Saints. Dale Jr. (go 88), KVD and bass masters. Bill Dance, Rolland Martin, Jimmy Houston, and can't forget Hank Parker.
