  1. I grabbed a bag of the devil spear. I've only thrown it a couple of times but the action is enough to keep it in rotation.
  2. 3/8 oz Blade Runner paddle head in blue gill with a watermelon/jelly paca chunk
  3. Revo SX 6.4:1 / Vendetta 6'-3" Medium Revo STX 7:1 / Vendetta 6'-6" Medium Okuma Avenger Spinning / Vendetta 6'-6" Medium The beater I keep in the car just in case I want to stop is a Black Max / Vengeance 6'-3" Medium
  4. I only have experience with the SX but I can say that it's a fantastic reel. Its a work horse - very durable and reliable.
  5. The Rage line is awesome. The best colors for me have been the watermelon/red flake and big tex.
  6. The paca chunks have been excellent for me this season when paired up with the Northstar swim jigs. The Zoom fat albert grub has also been solid.

  9. Never had an issue. I've ordered mine through TW.
  10. Awesome! Some really nice detail.
  11. So far this season: Swim jig (different makes) in bluegill color Baby Rage craw (multiple colors) XCalibur XCS 200 (multiple colors)
  12. I had never given it much thought until I bought a Revo SX and paired it with a Vendetta. The difference with a light, balanced set up is very noticeable.
  13. I wouldn't do it either. Lying will always catch up with you one way or the other.
  14. That was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing!
  15. Ha! I'll let you be the guinea pig on this one.
  16. The baby rage craws are awesome. They always catch fish. They're great as trailers or by themselves on a shaky head.
  17. They definitely get conditioned. Try something different from what you consider the "standard" approach. Even if that means the same bait fished in an entirely different way.
  18. Its a lot of fun. I was very much a spinning gear guy for while. I tried a bait cast setup at the beginning of last year. It was frustrating at first. As long as you practice, aren't afraid to make a couple mistakes, and don't get discouraged - you'll be all set. I don't use my spinning or bait cast set ups exclusively. For me, they each have applications they are better suited for.
  19. Same kind of deal in New Hampshire right now. We had a brief period where it looked like spring might actually take hold and then it was back to the nasty stuff.
  20. The Pro Qualifier is a very good bargain. You'll be pleased with it.
  21. Can't speak to the trick stick but the Squirrell Tail worm has been pretty productive for me. I recently picked up a pack of the flying squirrell's in "easy money". Looking forward to giving them a go.
  22. Same with the Power Bait line. It can make you dry heave if you get too close.
  23. I love these! They work great for a number of baits. The only issue I've had is the hook breaking at the bend near the top. I blame myself though. Drag was set too tight on light line and the fish made a run at the boat. I am surprised that the line didnt break before the hook though.
