Nice! i believed it was a 4 4.5 pounder, it was funny because I have a lot of experience fishing carps and saltwater fishing but was my first Bass focused fishing. I'm not from US and have been here for a couple of months only, but i love fishing and all the ponds and lakes in Orlando area just were screaming come on its time to start fishing, so i found this site and did a lot of reading about Bass (sometimes till 4 AM), then i decided to go to BPS and get into some cheap gear to start so i decided to go on the Shakespeare Catch More Bass combo (sorry if its an insult for the pros round here) that for 24 bucks given me a tackle box and a nice spinning rod and a not too bad reel and also purchased some others bait, got a Cars rod for my son (hes 3 1/2 years only and so far he only uses the plastic wheel that comes with the combo and hes getting nice casts), and that Saturday we started fishing cranckbaits around the Lilly pads and nothing, then i tried to rig a worm and didn't went good and my son started to get annoyed and i saw some splashes during the time i was fishing i believed they were some kind of sunfish feeding so i decided to go on a cricket floater popper just to catch some and show to my son, in fact in my first cast i got a nice bluegill he got excited screaming "finally we got one fish, we are not that bad fishing".... then i casted the popper into the lillypads and was like an explosion 3 or 4 missed in one cast.... then i started catching some small basses, crappies and bluegills and we have a fish identification chart an my son was finding each one it was just fantastic, then we move like 100 ft to another lilipad and on my first cast there, was amazing to see this fish engulfing the popper! it give some fight and was very surprised of the size because the pond is very small, i was so excited that forgot to take more pictures just that with my son, then we released it and went home for lunch.... But the Bass bug is now inside of me..... I cant stop thinking in go fishing.....
Sorry for the misspelling i can have English is not my mother language, I'm Italian....
Cheers
