  1. I rent a house every year for the 4th of July week on Thompson Lake. Have caught 3&4 lb smallies and largemouth. Ive had good weeks and a couple bad weeks. This year I will be more prepared with better electronics and gear. Hoping for a 5 lb'er this year.
  2. Lake Massabesic has a pretty large parking area and a dock. Just don't touch the water.
  3. Hi all. Been a while since I’ve been on here. Not sure where to look but I’m looking for a reputable person to give my reels a good cleaning and tune up. Any recommendations? thanks
  4. Fairly new to pitching and flipping. Just curious do. You need to back off the tension knob all the way when doing this? Will this cause backlashes and require more thumb control? Thanks Tom
  5. I do, I do!
  6. Hey all Here is a list of my set ups. Just wondering what applications you would use each for and if you would change any reels to match the rods. Ill list what I currently use them for as well. Would also like to know what set up you would add if you could add just one. I have no ML or H rods. I know I will get varied opinions but that's ok. Spinning: Falcon Bucoo 7' med / Penn Fierce 2000 Browning Superlight 6'6" MHF / Abu Garcia Ora S30 Casting: Abu Garcia Vendetta 6'6" med / Revo SX 6.4:1 W&M Skeet Reese Tessera 6'8" MF / Lews Laser MG 7.1:1 JM Carbonlite 7' MHF / Tatula Type R 8:1 St Croix Rage 7'1" MHF / *** A 8.1:1 I fish mostly but not limited to the following: Shaky heads, drop-shot, weighted wacky, jigs, frogs, jerkbaits, small swim baits, weighless TX rigs, Tungsten weighted TX rigs, lipless cranks. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks much Tom
  7. I was thinking of trying the Sunline Sniper. It was cheap on EBay. I'm gonna give it a shot and probably stick with the PP. thanks
  8. Ive used Seguar Invisx and Red label. For braids, I've used PP super 8. Want to try something new this year. So far I've only spoiled up my Jig rod with 40 lb Trilene Professional. ( it was on sale ) Just wondering what your favorite braids and fluoros are. I know there will be many opinions about this but I don't want to waste money on crap line. Thanks Tom
  9. I've got a 7M and love it. Great for drop-shorting and shakeys
  10. I e been picking up clearance stuff at DSG. Trokar hooks, tungsten weights and today got a 7'1" MH St Croix Rage for 75.00. Half off.
  11. thanks for the replies guys.
  12. Thanks guys. I think I'll try yellow and a light green this year. My problem is I've never tied on a leader and it seems like it would take a lot of practice to get it right. Looks like I have some work to do because I really don't want to always tie directly to braid. Do you recommend a long FC leader to go through the eyes or shorter leaders? Lastly is Alberto the way to go? I know there will be different opinions on this. Thanks tom
  13. Does anyone use this or yellow? I've always used green braid. Wondering if anyone uses white or yellow and why. Thanks Tom
  14. Looking for any feedback on these rods. On clearance rack at DSG. Marked Down to 119.00 then 25% off that. Also had a G Loomis G2 for same price. Not sure which to buy so any feedback would be great. Thanks Tom
