Take an M-80 firecracker, pack mud around it, light it, and drop it. On a serious note, I gotta go with Chris on this one. A small hair jig rigged as a float-n-fly or as a plain jig will entice them.

I agree with JT with one exception. The guy filing the suit does show us one of the cards in his hand, so to speak. If he wasn't out for a BUNCH of money and just wanted simple restitution for whatever Evers might/might not have done, then he wouldn't be going after the sponsors. He'd just be going after Evers. I am very interested to see how this one comes out. If the sponsors are proven responsible for Evers actions (whatever those are/aren't), then we're looking at a much bigger problem for society as a whole and not just professional bass fishing.

No problem. I've had pretty good luck with the spinner bait box as well. I've never been able to keep the spinners organized effectively (being able to see all of them and not have them tangle) until I tried that Falcon box.

Walk softly and stay quiet. Fan cast and cover as much water as you can before you move. If you reach all of the pond from one position (without moving) even better. If it's a small pond, you've caught a couple of fish, and they stop biting, then eat a sandwich and wait for a little while. They'll start biting again.

I only have the 18'6" Triton so I got a single console to make more room in the boat. My windshield works great but my partner does like his very much--especially when it rains.

I have Garmin fish finders and a Lowrance GPS on my boat (the GPS was an after thought). I can't really give you a reason why, but I'm a little happier with the Lowrance product. Both however are excellent products.

I've tried. My boat is difficult to keep on a plain and below 30mph. Not many skiers I know want to go that fast. I've thought about it, but I've never had nerve to pull someone on a tube at 65mph. Sounds like fun though, as long as I'm driving.

I trust L.D. on this one, but I do struggle with the difference between 6 and 8 pound line. I could see a bigger difference if you were using 12lb and your guide was using 6lb, but there isn't much difference in diameter between 6 and 8. As I said, I trust L.D. on this one, he's a guide and I'm not. If he told me to use 6lb I would. However the guide most likely has a "better feel" for light strikes than the client. Especially when fishing for deep smallies (20+ft). I know at Lake Erie, I sometimes have trouble distinguishing the "light hits" from multiple small rocks on the bottom, which often keeps me from setting the hook when I should probably go ahead and take a swing. Reattacks L.D.?? By the way, where do you guide again. I went and looked through posts but I didn't see it.

It's never too cold, but I do get very frustrated at picking the ice our of my rod guides.

I believe a med-heavy 6'6" is the best one for you to start. You can use that rod for almost all applications. If you do a bunch of flipping or pitching, then the 7' might not be a bad choice. Either one is an excellent choice in a med-heavy, fast tip.

I don't know Snag. That cussing you refer to after an empty hook set could just as well be me. The level or foulness of the word tells how many hook sets have gone bad.

Okay, I don't feel as bad about my bat.

I don't pull deep crankbaits unless I have to. They simple wear me out. I prefer using a carolina rig. I will first pull and pop the bait down the ledge, then ease it over. I'll then move in opposite the ledge and pull the bait up the ledge.

Glenn, A cat?? I think the rest of us would like to hear more of that story. I know I would.
